This small, detached cottage with sea views sleeps 2 persons only.

In an unspoiled part of Barbados and where the Caribbean sea meets the Atlantic ocean, this boutique cottage is ideal for couples looking for something slightly different. Base yourself in this romantic hide away and either take advantage of excellent local instructors in surfing, windsurfing and kite surfing or just relax and swim at nearby Miami beach. All the amenities of the South Coast and Oistins are 5 minutes away and the Crane the East Coast 20 minutes away. Bedroom upstairs with queen size bed and separate shower and toilet. Small living area downstairs, opening onto patio and deck area outside. AC/ TV and internet available. Well equipped small kitchen area, including a microwave and coffee maker. Sheets and towels provided. Close to Surfers Bay bar and restaurant. A car is recommended.

By car , Airport 15 mins, Oistins is 5 mins, St Lawrence Gap 10 mins, the Crane 20 mins, West coat 30 mins and Bathseba 40 mins.

I spend my time living between central London where i grew up and Barbados which i fell in love with 20 years ago. I have two homes on the island as well as a theatre company. I hope to be able to spend more and more time in Barbados during the Winter months and to meet and greet all my guests.

Barbados is like the New York of the Caribbean. It has so much to offer. Although small, you can get around it easily within a day. There is so much choice for any kind of holiday maker. Glamour on the west, partying on the south and remote and peaceful on the East. I built the property about 5 years ago and have lived in it on and off ever since.

What makes this cottage unique

Little Green Tara is unique as its off the beaten track but not so remote that you feel cut off. Silver sands is relatively unspoiled with a great local feel and is peaceful but has everything within easy striking distance. No where is far in Barbados if you have a car. Having Surfers Bay so close by is really great, especially when its is happy hour and the owner mixes you a rum sour or rum punch!

This place was absolutely wonderful! We would definitely return. Location is perfect as it's out of the way yet close enough to places like Oistins, short drive to the airport and minutes from great surfing and wind surfing beaches (swimming beaches too). Great neighborhood bar/restaurant steps away (local and not too touristed).

Silver sands is one of the best places to be on the island IMO (maintains some of the carribean culture without too much tourist spoil). The owner is incredibly nice and coordination was a pleasure.

The Irish couple

We booked Little Green Tara on an un scientific basis of the liking the name. It was not listed in guide books so we felt we were taking a chance. From the minute the taxi dropped us we were glad we had trusted our instincts. L G T is a wee beauty, a romantic hideaway perfect for a couple. Small , bags of charm, well kitted out - air con- powerful shower. Kitchen well equipped but if you are like us and dont fancy cooking, stepping out the door and walking a few one minute to the right you have the friendly surfers Bay where tasty lunches and dinners are served. Two mins from there is a secluded beach L G T has a tv and wifi but chances are you will be blissfully content lying in the bedroom listening to sound of waves you wont bother with either. Dogs did bark one morning but we put ear plugs in and fell asleep again. Be aware you need a car or the bus to get to Oistins. We absolutely loved our stay there and dream of returning.

Little Green Tara is a wonderful little cottage on the south east coast of Barbados, ideal for a romantic getaway. My husband and I have stayed there 3 or 4 times over the past couple of years.
Although small it has everything you need for 2 people. The interior is well presented, clean and well maintained. Just up from the beach, it is literally a one minute walk down to the shoreline. The coastline is rugged but there are some places to bathe.
One of the local bars is approx 150m away and looks over the ocean and is very friendly and provides some excellent homecooked meals.
Part of the charm of Little Green Tara is it's location, with it's ocean view and it's quiet locality it's perfect for a bit of romance! But if you're looking for a little more nightlife a short drive will find you back in the 'hub' of restaurants and bars.
We have had some excellent times whilst staying in Little Green Tara and very much hope to get back there one day.

Little Green Tara was the perfect place to relax. We stayed 6 nights. There is nothing more peaceful than falling asleep to the sounds of the waves. The location of the cottage is spot on. We rented a car and had easy access to Miami Beach and the East Coast for exploring. We hope to return soon.
