We spent Christmas here while visiting our children in the area. The best thing about this apt was its location. We were able to easily walk to M street and enjoy the numerous restaurants there. The apt was very quiet, cozy and sunny. The only negative was the very drafty kitchen/breakfast area. We still were able to fix a few meals and overall very much enjoyed our stay. We would definitely stay here again in the future especially for the wonderful location. An added bonus was the availability of a parking pass for street parking which was a real gift. Thanks Caterina!

Owner's Response: Dear Tenant, thank you for your kind comments and for taking care of my rental so well. in order to satisfy my clients who are good cook and want to enjoy going grocery shopping at the farmers' markets at Dupont Circle or Rose Park or at the stores (TJ's or WF) and use the kitchen at the house, I am working on improving the kitchen area. It is great to hear that you would like to come back in the future. If you plan a new stay, summer season will be a good aternative and helpful in this sense, because you can "expand" and have dinners out in the back yard...!

Lovely location

I greatly enjoyed my stay in this comfortable flat. The neighborhood is delightful. Everyone is friendly; noise at night is minimal; the surrounding area is gorgeous. The kitchen is well-stocked and despite being small is easy to work in. The master bedroom is large and sunny - I slept very soundly. The unit has 4 floors accessed by steep steps so it's not going to work for everyone, but I just treated it as my daily stair master workout.

Great stay for family trip to DC!

We absolutely loved this house for our family trip to DC. It's a quaint and lovely home, and a fun change of pace from our Midwest suburban home. It was fun to show our kids how folks live there. Our 9-year-old twins loved having their own room and twin beds. We toured every possible monument and museum we could see in our 9 day visit and everything was very accessible. The kids favorite: the Metro which was easy to get to two Metro stations: DuPont and Foggy Bottom. Some days, we'd just walk, most days we'd take the Metro. We loved coming "home" and picking up fixings at Trader Joes, making dinner and talking about our favorite sights that day. Jen and Caterina were great to work with and quick to respond to any questions we had. The kids loved playing tennis across the street. And one day, I got to shop at the farmer's market in the park across the street. It was such a delightful and safe neighborhood. Better than any hotel experience for sure! I'll be recommending this home to any pals of mine touring DC!

Owner's Response: Dear Lesley, what a great review you wrote about my rental. Thank you! This is the best satisfaction Jennifer and I could get. We do care about tenants and we want to make them feel at "home". The friendly neighborough and the environment, I must say, help a lot, and we try to fit into it perfectly making the house a memorable place. We would love to have you back in the future. Please, be in touch, Jennifer and Caterina

Family Vacation

The house is very quaint and clean with easy access to the Georgetown (M Street) restaurants and shops as well as easy access to the Capital Mall via the circulator bus (only $1 per person). We enjoyed playing tennis on the courts across the street and walking on the many paths around the neighborhood. The house is located in a very vibrant, energetic, and friendly neighborhood. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Jen and Caterina were wonderful to deal with and very responsive to our questions. We didn't have any trouble obtaining a residential parking permit at the police station and were not asked for a notorized contract. Just an extra set of keys would be helpful. Thanks Caterina!

Owner's Response: Dear Carol, thank you for spending good words about my rental and your appreciation about us. Jennifer works very hard to make the rental pleasant and exactly like it looks in the pictures. Also, I am very glad to hear that it was quite easy to get the parking permit this time. Last, I wished you would have asked for more sets of key. Surely, we will be more careful the next time and provide the next tenant with more. Thanks again, Caterina

graduation week

It was very clean, neat and accessible to Georgetown. The set up is interesting with a main floor, kitchen in basement and sleeping areas above. Lots of stairs, which was fine but if you had a toddler, you'd need gates! The part that was a problem for us was that the bed labeled queen was a double and the futon was in the same room as the the twins so it was difficult to offer privacy if one room was only going to have one person. Getting the parking sticker was problematic as the police station wanted a notarized lease agreement so that should be set up earlier than a day or two prior to arrival. Both the owner and manager were affiable, able to respond quickly and were clear on directions for entering and exiting. I think a couple of keys versus one would be best in case others in the party needed to come later to a function or were going elsewhere. I would rent it again for its accessibliity and cleanliness.

Owner's Response: Dear Tere, thank you for your precious advises. It will be my priority to buy a gate as soon as I get to GT in few days. In the past, getting the parking permit was never a problem, something has probably changed at the police station. I will directly check with them and try to avoid future difficulties. About number of sets keys, I am so sorry you did not ask Jennifer for an extra set, since I am sure she has it. I am glad to hear that you would rent it again. I hope you enjoyed your daughter's graduation at GU!
