Hi Caterina we had a wonderful time thanks and Mary was so helpful and

Our family of five stayed here over the Christmas holidays. The location of the townhouse was perfect for our needs. We did not have a car, and walking 15 mins. to the Dupont Circle Metro stop was an easy way to get us to all that D.C. has to offer. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful. The park across the street offers tennis, basketball, and running trails. (We used the tennis rackets and basketball to make the most use of this area on the non-rainy days during our stay.) The house itself was perfect for our family: 2 adults and 3 kids. The downstairs living area was totally adequate in terms of space for all of us to enjoy together, and having the two bedrooms upstairs allowed for us to have areas away from one another as well. The kitchen was well stocked and we enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners in the dining room downstairs. The home is kept up well. All was clean when we arrived, and Jennifer (the house manager) was good about getting back to us quickly if we had questions.
One complaint and one warning. First the complaint: The full-size bed in one bedroom was in poor shape during our stay, and it needs to be replaced. One can feel the springs on the sides of the bed. As for the warning: If you have issues with stairs or if you have very small children, this house can pose challenges. There are four levels, and the spiral staircase can be tough to navigate for older folks with bad knees or the stairs can be dangerous for small children who could easily fall if not careful (two of our five did fall on the stairs, though they were not hurt). That said, we would certainly choose to stay in this home again if we were in the D.C. area.
A charming 4story townhouse that requires quite a bit of stair climbing but is worth every step. We arrived on a Wednesday evening in time to buy groceries at the farmers market half a block away. We were 2 couples and the ones who drew the short straw had to sleep in the garret and run down a floor to the bath but the inconvenience was offset by the location. There's a tennis court across the street and lots of places to run (if you're a jogger). Restaurants abound in the vicinity. The metro is a half mile away, and parking requires that you take your rental contract to the police station for a temporary resident tag. But we loved being part of a simply delightful and very quiet neighborhood close to everything.
My mom and me spent 2 days in the house and it was a great experience. The neighborhood is great and we had anything we needed during the day very close and relaxing and quiet nights at home.
The house is perfectly furnished with anything we could have needed although some of the sheets and towels were a bit old.
I will return to this house for sure next time I visit DC.
My family and I have stayed in this townhouse for two strait summers. It is just perfect for our needs. Our kids love the location and the cozy loft, and my wife and I love the urban living. The townhouse is cozy and comfortable with an authentic historic feel. Georgetown is an incredible residential neighborhood, with local public library and walking/running paths right nearby, and DuPont Circle and all of DC's other offerings are a stone's throw away. In short, we love the property and hope to return!
The property is a classic Georgetown rowhouse with the kitchen and dining area in the basement, living room on the main floor, master bedroom and bathroom on the second floor and an additional bedroom with three beds on the top floor. It was very similar to the pictures, with the exception of a few furniture changes.
I would echo the sentiments of some of the other reviews in that the furniture is pretty tired and not overly comfortable. The beds could definitely use an upgrade as they were terrible.
The wireless internet worked perfectly and was reliable throughout our stay and although the TV was pretty tiny it served its purpose for the small amount we used it. We would have preferred a full sized coffee maker (currently a one cup version) and the toaster could use a replacement as only half of each side works, but other than that the kitchen was functional and reasonably equipped for what we needed.
With different furniture and beds, we would likely stay again, as the location is fantastic. There is a Safeway on Wisconsin Ave. and also a number of smaller local stores close by for supplies. A very quiet street and easily walkable to M Street or across the bridge to Dupont Circle and DC proper. It was amusing to see the security detail for the property across the street, but the area was very quiet and we felt very safe walking around the neighborhood.
We, a family of 4, finished our Virginia/Washington DC tour in Georgetown, staying in this great townhouse for 5 nights.
Everything was perfect, key easy to find, and house as we had hoped, a real historic townhouse in historic area. Beds etc comfortable and all needs of our group well catered for. House is a 5 minute walk to downtown main street in Georgetown with great dining and shopping. Great base also for running in Creek Park and for touring DC itself (recommend Big Bus Tours).
We would be happy to recommend this property for a family.
The Kennedy Center (Opera, Ballet and Concert Hall) is at walking distance from the house
