BLUE MANGO - STEPS TO THE BEACH ON NORTH CAPTIVA

My husband and I stayed at Blue Mango for a week and highly recommend it. Everything was perfect. The apartment was spotlessly clean and cheerfully decorated, the kitchen well equipped, and we enjoyed the privacy of our own pool as well as long walks on the quiet beach. We rented a boat for several days and did some exploring as well as shelling on nearby islands. It was a wonderful adventure! Thank you John and Diane. We are so glad to have discovered your little piece of paradise and look forward to many return visits!

Blue Mango is like a little storybook island cottage! It was bright, cheery, comfortable, and very clean. We had lots of privacy and used the washer and dryer every day! We loved the porches and the french doors that open from the 2 bedrooms and living room. It felt like we were indoors and outdoors at the same time! The weather was really nice for early January and we enjoyed the quiet beach. North Captiva and Blue Mango are perfect for unwinding from the stresses of daily life and work! The sand roads and the beach were a great place to go for long runs. I felt safe everywhere I ran. My daughter said she had more fun than Disney World and she is a Disney World addict! So, that is a huge compliment to the owners, the Blue Mango, and North Captiva!! We had such a great time at the Blue Mango and still talk about it regularly. We can't wait to return!

I just returned from a superb vacation on North Captiva Island where i stayed at the wonderful Blue Mango. All the stress that had built up inside me over the past year melted away after exploring the miles long secluded beach and tanning by the private pool. Our hosts were extremely thoughtful and took care of our needs in the nicest way possible, while remaining very discreet and unobtrusive. The Blue Mango itself is a beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and comfortable place to stay that lacks nothing. There is a large shower inside but also a great outdoor shower as well - washing my hair first thing in the morning listening to the Osprey in the palm trees was the best way to start the day ever! The lush vegetation that surrounds the house makes this tropical getaway very private and peaceful, and there are a few hidden spots to sit and read or just watch the tiny lizards basking in the sun. But there are a couple of restaurants and bars on the island if one wishes a drink and company to share island stories with after touring the island on the golfcart that is provided. Fishing and boating tours can be arranged from here as well. Our hosts arranged a trip over to Cabbage Key for us where we saw dolphins and had a great time. I would highly recommend this property to anyone and intend to return again as soon as possible. Thanks again to our great hosts for a happy holiday!
