About Tina Gibson

Besides loving to travel and enjoying nature, I teach history to 7th graders at a private school in town. I have raised three sons, and my first grandchild was born April 2011.

I caught the 'renovation bug' when I was young and my parents were forced to renovate a home so they could sell it. The transformation of that home was amazing. In my adult years, I have bought several homes to fix up and rent out. This particular home was previously a rental property for me; however, the renovation was so wonderful I knew I could never again rent it for long periods of time to one family at a time. I offer my own style and elegance in the furnishings, colors, and open feel of this home (and yes, walls and an ugly fireplace were torn down to make it this way).

I am also an animal lover.... all kinds.

Very good, love to come back

This house became our home, although it was only for a couple of days. Well-maintaned, the best equipped kitchen we have ever encountered on VRBO rentals, good showers, a large enough dining and kitchen and all the luxurities of a large house, and the location was perfect to reach by car and - not uninteresting for the tired traveller - extremely quiet. Photo's were matching, owner was very helpful with questions. Shops etc. close-by. Very recommendable.

This is a lovely property in a quiet neighbourhood, with easy access to all the attractions Albuquerque and the surrounding area has to offer - we had a great time staying here while we visited out son at the University. A really comfortable home-from-home - we really enjoyed sitting in the garden with our early morning coffee, with the wonderful view of the mountains. Thanks Tina.

A mixed feeling

Tina was very easy to work with. The price was reasonable. The house was in a central location to shopping and close to the airport. The home was in need of a few repairs, the most important was that the main shower didn't work - bath only. The master bath didn't have a door on it - which made sharing that one shower with everyone a little harder.
Owner's Response: I'm so sorry the shower didn't work for you. I wish you would have called me. It took less than 30 seconds to fix. Thank you for your Review. I hope you will try me again next time.

This was my first try at a vacation rental house. I think it went very good. The house was as advertised. The house was well maintained and clean. With one exception, this was not a smoke-free house. When first entering you got the stale cigarette smell. The owner was very forth coming when I needed to speak with her before arriving and was also very quick to help resolve one problem with the TV. I would recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Yes, I am so upset about the fact that I had people in the house who smoked just prior to your visit. I am doing everything I can do to eliminate this smell. This house was perfect for our stay in Albuquerque. It was super clean, recently updated, and lived up to the photos. Convenient location - just blocks from a grocery store and within 15 minutes of the tram, airport, museums, Old Town and petroglyphs. Easy access to both highways, yet in a quiet neighborhood. Walking trail nearby.

We were 3 generations vacationing together and my husband is on a restricted diet - only 2 of the many great reasons to rent a home instead of staying in a hotel. We found the kitchen complete and used the backyard grill several times.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Girls Getaway, Tourists without a Car, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children
