Conde' Nast Travelers chose Charleston the #1 vacation destination in the world! Come see why!
GQ Magazine named Charleston SC the #1 vacation spot for 2011, The Coolest Small City in America.
Charleston SC is one of only two U.S. cities to make travel guide Fodor's top 21 places to go in the world this year, citing Charleston as a "buzzy destination" for its restaurants, scenery, and festivals, and for leading a Southern food revival.
Choice location on Front Beach with beach side swimming pool and private access to the beach.
This beautifully maintained and decorated condo has everything you'll need. Easy walking distance to restaurants, beach district shopping. Enjoy all the beach and ocean have to offer; charter fishing, body surfing, wave sailing, or maybe a sunrise stroll on the beach with your morning coffee. When the day is done, know you have an air conditioned condo with its inviting beds to help you recharge the batteries for another day of fun.
Downtown Charleston is just 20 minutes away, with its art galleries, museums, SC Aquarium, and rich history from both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. And, the shopping at the open air market, or the King Street corridor! If you are downtown at mealtime, you are in for an experience that has gained national acclaim. With its culinary reputation, enjoy Low Country specialties like she-crab soup, shrimp and grits, fried green tomatoes and other southern delights. Sip sweet tea in the casual shade of a bistro's patio, or sample the fare at the linen-covered table of a world-class restaurant.
Travel + Leisure just named Charleston the No. 1 city in the U.S. and Canada.
The beach was clean and the kids found all sorts of sea creatures and used the books provided to identify them. We ate at the chophouse, Magnolia, and many other wonderful places.
We stayed here 5 days and enjoyed it. There are grocery stores and restaraunts all within walking distance and the view was wonderful. We all commented we would come back here in the future.
My husband and I took my parents to the Isle of Palms for a week following my father's recuperation from recent back surgery for a herniated disc. It was a much needed change of scenery. Having stayed in this condominium before, I knew that it was well appointed with all necessities and that the furniture was comfortable. It is also located close to shops and restaurants. What I did not expect was that new flooring had been installed and it had very obviously been installed improperly. The wood flooring was extremely buckled all through the main room, making it very difficult to walk on. There were literally hills and valleys which popped up and down when stepped on. We had to be extremely careful , even holding onto counters as we walked so as not to trip or fall. As you might imagine, this was the worst possible scenario for my father who was still suffering leg weakness and foot drop at times from his back surgery. One toilet and one sink were not running well and the rug in the living area was filthy. However, we managed with the flooring and still had an enjoyable time. Overall , this is a nice condominium in a convenient location, but I was disappointed that it was rented at full price with such a major defect in the flooring and that we were not warned of it.
pros: the individual unit was recently renovated - photos accurate. comfortable furniture, well-equipped kitchen, etc. good view, the unit was clean. very close to most of the isle of palms restaurants, ben & jerrys, tourist shops. grocery within walking distance. good beach access. tip: the italian place above banana cabana was the best food we had the entire week (after Husk in Charleston) highly recommend the tasting menu.
cons: building was a little tired, pool water was dirty and hot - gross enough I wouldn't get in and it was 100 degrees. also, the unit should either come with beach chairs, or info on where to get them (the guy on the beach in front of hotel next door rents them for $5 per day - easy, and no hauling back and forth)
The property was full of elderly people and their grandchildren. neither a pro nor a con... just a fact.
We had 3 couples in our group and the condo worked out great with each couple having their own individual bathroom. Furnishing were very comfortable and the view from the balcony was of the ocean, beach and pool. Kitchen was well equipped with new appliances and whatever we needed. Looking forward to visiting again!
We had a wonderful stay. The condo had everything we needed and more. Location is perfect. Our family will definitely be back!
We have traveling to the Charleston SC area for many years and have fallen head over heels for it. Previously we have stayed further inland on the IOP and found this property to be very convenient to all area attractions, whether in Mt. Pleasant or Charleston proper.
The location is also superb because of the surrounded shops, beach and restaurants in case we decided to just hang out locally for an evening.
We would HIGHLY recommend this condo for your vacation! It is quite lovely, newly updated and furnished, and very comfortable. All the amenities are as top-notch as well as the wonderful views. Thank you for allowing us to stay - would not hesitate to come back!
