The Gingerbread Cottage is located in Glenn, Michigan--The Pancake Town! Glenn is situated on Lake Michigan between Saugatuck, to the north,and South Haven to the south. Glenn offers a well stocked convenience store--they also make a mean pizza--a nice restaurant, and an adorable old-time hardware store. This charming 'honeymoon' cottage has a deck to enjoy as you sip wine from the local vineyard. The cottage sits back from a quiet country road that parallels beautiful Lake Michigan. Take a short walk to the corner, and then down a grassy slope to find a lovely sandy beach. The area is full of opportunities for antiquing, boat rides, fine dining, window shopping, quaint country roads, and farmers markets that feature all the fresh local produce. Within a 10 minute drive, you can also enjoy pie and ice cream at Earl's, or Crane's Orchards, or the Dutch Farm Market, which features the best homemade doughnut I've ever tasted.
Other Activities: Berry picking, fresh water swimming, boating, fishing, star-gazing, winery tours, farmer's markets, quiet walks along the beach, antique shopping, flea markets, sunsets to die for!
Golf: There are at least 3 golf courses nearby: Hawkshead, which has a great resturant as well--10 minute drive. To the north, a 15 minute drive will get you to the golf course in Saugatuck, and going south about 15 minutes will take you to the South Haven public golf course.
