Enjoy views of beautiful Crystal Lake and the gentle mountains in the distance. The large wrap-around deck invites you to dine al fresco and listen to the loons.

Or relax on the screened porch a few feet from the water while the kids jump off the dock and swim out to the raft. 200' of private sandy-bottomed, paddle-in waterfront is yours to enjoy, perfect for little ones. Two kayaks are waiting for you to explore the lake, PFDs provided.

Plenty of room for all the family with 4 bedrooms: one with a queen bed, one with twin beds. NOTE: 2 bedrooms have queen sleeper sofas. Kids love sleeping on 2 twin mattresses in the open loft (watch your head!)

Private and secluded, yet only a couple minutes from convenient corner store for all your needs, including delicious fresh-baked breads and pastries on the weekend! A short 15 minutes drive takes you to Alton Bay on Lake Winnipesaukee with all large lake amenities, restaurants, shopping etc.

There is no TV at this home because time spent here is about being with family and getting back to the simple pleasures in life. Come and unwind!

We are a Massachusetts family with three boys. We fell in love with this beautiful cabin because it gives us the opportunity to take time out of our hectic schedules to enjoy family time together.

Julie purchased this cabin in 2010

This was the first house we saw! Nothing we saw later could compare...the location, right on the water and on a private road could not be more perfect. It is an easy drive to 'civilization', and yet feels like a complete escape.

We love having the lake on our doorstep. Kicking off the day with a refreshing swim, or paddling out in a kayak to watch the sunset. It's perfect! And if we're feeling too lazy to make dinner, there's freshly made pizza and icecream just 5 mins away at the Gilmanton Ironworks Market.

You are no doubt reading this review because you have decided you want to go away, are pretty sure of the location and your budget and the features you'd like in a rental property. You are probably toying with this one and maybe 1 or 2 more. I suggest you email the owners of all of those rentals you are considering with a few questions and see what kind of email you get back. See how long it takes for them to respond, if they answer those questions, what the tone of the email is like and whether they seem friendly and on the ball. I am writing this review to help you make a decision. You see, the owner does not need my help finding renters, so I am writing this for you, the potential renter. Julie, the owner, doesn't need to advertise heavily. I know she has this listed on the usual vacation websites but other than that, it's word of mouth and positive stays that are keeping her calendar full of repeat vacationers. I could go on about how great Crystal lake is or how nice New England is, but you probably know that already and want the real dirt, so to speak. I have rented many houses over the years and I actually enjoy looking at the listings. I'm the one in my family who does all of the leg work when it comes to inquiries, reservations, payment and contracts. So, I have looked at a gazillion listings and contacted many owners. I have had a number of questions for Julie before moving ahead with the actual booking, and more interactions during the reserving process. She is THE BEST owner I have ever dealt with, hands down. No, we are not cousins and I do not know her otherwise. She answered every one of my annoying questions (Do the bedrooms have doors? Bureaus? How close is the nearest neighbor? etc.) and then some. I learned a long time ago, despite great photos, to not assume anything. You know how you sense when someone is in it for the money and to make it worse you get there and find the place so unappealing, like it smells and there's no room for your stuff and there's one lamp in the whole house? Julie and this home are the total opposite. If there's anything I'd like you to take away from this review is this: You are paying for an experience, not just a house. The owner is NORMAL, the house and property are divine, there are only pleasant surprises and you won't regret this choice.

Just what the doctor ordered

This place is bigger than is looks from the photos. I had some friends and family with me for a relaxing getaway and it was perfect. Cornhole was everyone's favorite outdoor game when we weren't swimming or out in the kayaks (my favorite). Lots of loons which was cool to watch. The firepit is huge and the chairs around it are comfy. The deck is a giant wrap around with a great view of the lake when you're make grub in the grill. We had some powerful thunder and lightning storms that were really exciting and with the giant windows we sat inside and watched. On top of it the owners make it very easy and they are very accommodating to the renters. I rent a lot of houses and this was one of my best experiences.

I really couldn't have asked for more. I hope to be back next year.

What a truly beautiful place Crystal Cove is! We were lucky enough to see the start of an early fall and the colors were superb. We've loved the area and Crystal Cove is a magical spot. Thank you for letting us use your lovely house.

We have really enjoyed our week here. So many things to do! Loved sitting around the fire under the stars. Fantastic views from local hikes. Wonderful holiday in such a scenic and relaxed home!
