Do you know how Eagle parents teach their young how to fly? They take them way up into the sky and drop them! If they don't ''get it'', a parent catches the youngster on its back and does it all over again until he finally learns to Soar Like an Eagle! Why is this important for our Pine Tree Cabin? One of only two eagle nests on Plum Lake is located directly off the lakeside screened in porch of this homey cabin. Couple this with the deer and other wildlife that wander by the big bay window on a regular basis, and, well, who needs TV? (Although DirecTV is on site to keep you up on what's happening the in ''real'' world.) Light crackling candles or canned fire in the faux fireplace and enjoy the view! A sandy beach for swimming, fishing boats and canoes for your use and a paddleboat available for further lake exploration. Plum Lake is 7-1/2 miles long and we're located on the eastern most end providing the most incredible sunsets.
And the Northern Lights shows we've witnessed can bring tears to your eyes. Marvelous! A fully equipped kitchen, charcoal grill and fire pit enables you to enjoy meals on property but there are also excellent restaurants and coffee houses nearby. There's a queen bed in one bedroom and twin trundles in the other. The futon in the living room is full sized. Covered parking is available under the Plum Lake Station railroad depot located on the old railroad grade on the south side of Pine Tree.
Want your own piece of the Northwoods ambiance? This property is also for sale! Contact Adam Redman, Redman Realty group at 715-892-7325.
Please note that HomeAway does not have our location indicated correctly. We are not in St. Germain but rather on the east end of Plum Lake in Sayner (about 10 miles north of St. Germain). The correct directions: From downtown Sayner take county road N east toward Star Lake 2-1/2 miles to Hanson Rd. on the left. Turn left on Hanson about 1/2 mile to Plum Lake Station Rd. on the right. Plum Lake Station Rd. deadends at the lake where our homes and cabins are located. This is also where the old railroad depot is located, thus, the name 'Plum Lake Station'!
