SOURDOUGH CANYON LUXURIOUS LODGE WITH TROUT PONDS, CREEK; NOT A WEDDING VENUE.

Bozeman Lodge Rental Photos and Description

Lodge, 4 Bedrooms + Den, 3.5 Baths, (Sleeps 10)

This Sourdough Canyon lodge sits at the base of the Gallatin Mountains on the pristine waters of Sourdough Creek. The lodge is just 10 minutes from downtown Bozeman, Montana, 20 minutes from Bridger Bowl and world class trout fishing on the Gallatin, Madison and Yellowstone Rivers.

This luxury vacation lodge is an ideal one of a kind setting for a family or group vacation. This spectacular home along with the majority of the stunning furniture and custom cabinetry was built by the owner with loving attention to detail.

Nestled in secluded Sourdough Canyon, surrounded by old growth cottonwood and aspen groves, you will enjoy wildlife from every room, a giant back deck with two stocked trout ponds and the blue ribbon fishing of Sourdough Creek on the property.

The lodge sits just a few hundred yards from Bozeman Creek Trailhead which boasts miles of groomed cross country ski trails in winter and the best mountain biking and hiking in Gallatin Valley in the summer.

This lodge is comprised of 2 levels to maximize function and privacy. On the main level the Great Room enjoys nearly floor to ceiling southern facing windows with gorgeous light, a two story river rock fireplace and sumptuous leather furniture for relaxing by the fire or enjoying a movie. The large kitchen was designed with the chef in mind, with a six burner gas oven, ample counter space and every necessary appliance so guests may prepare gourmet meals with ease. Adjoining the Great Room and Kitchen is the Family Room with another TV and french doors opening onto the deck. One bedroom with full bathroom is on the main level with views of aspens and Sourdough Creek. Completing the main level is a generous mud room with plenty of storage for both winter and summer equipment and top of the line energy efficient washer and dryer.

Upstairs the master suite includes a large walk-in closet, king size bed, flat screen TV, windows overlooking the trout pond and creek, double shower head two person shower and giant tub with built in jets.

The other upstairs rooms consist of one suite with a king size bed and views of the entire Bridger Mountain range and the Bunk Room which sleeps 4 in handcrafted bunk beds. These rooms share a bathroom with double sinks and a large tub and shower.

This home comes with a property manager who will be there to assist you. She can provide you with a fully stocked kitchen upon your arrival and linen changes throughout your stay for an extra charge. Don't be afraid to ask her for anything else you may require!

I'm a high end custom furniture, cabinet and home builder who loves to fish! I built this home to serve as the ideal retreat for fisherman and mountain bikers in summer, hunters in fall and skiers in winter.

Bronwyn Hennessy purchased this lodge in 2005

I built this home in the perfect location, just 10 minutes drive to downtown Bozeman and 20 minutes to the Gallatin River and Bridger Bowl Ski Area, the lodge is secluded, private and serene.

While staying on the property my wife and I hike, ski, bike and fish without ever having to get in a car! Just sitting on the deck in the summer sipping wine and listening to the creek is a nice way to relax at the end of the day.

BEAUTIFUL MOUNTAIN HOME

  • 5 of 5
This home was absolutely stunning on both the inside and outside. The kitchen was well stocked and the house was very comfortable. The owner was great and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. Thanks for all the extra wood.

COMFORT TO THE MAXIMUM

  • 5 of 5
Sourdough Canyon Lodge provided a much needed respite for our family. The location is perfect where you can enjoy everything Bozeman has to offer and experience the woods. We especially appreciated the owners hospitality in providing plenty of firewood. We hope to return again someday.

SATISFIED RENTER

  • 5 of 5
The property was great, just as described. If anything, it was better than expected. What does it mean when the only negative was they could use better water pressure in the shower. The place was neat and clean, had everything we needed to cook our meals and all the utensils. Things were much better than you would expect in a rental place. Any question we had the owner was willing to answer quickly and thoroughly. We had our entire adult family and one grandchild. Everyone loved the house. It is close enough to town to get there in a few minutes, but far enough away to feel secluded. I don't know that I would change anything.

INCREDIBLE ENCHANTING HOME

  • 5 of 5
I have been remiss in reviewing this wonderful place because of lack of time and wanting to give it the complete justice it deserves.
Sourdough Canyon Lodge is the most wonderful place we stayed in on our epic journey across the Western US.
The craftsmanship is exquisite. Every attention to detail is thoughtfully cared for and the setting is absolutely gorgeous.
My husband and I, our daughter, her husband and their two children and both our Golden Retreivers came close to Heaven at Bronwyn and Juniors lovely lodge.
To say that the furnishings are fabulous is a true understatement. Junior is a master craftsman and his skill is obvious in every detail of the house right down to the wine room. Ask him about the "ladder chest" in the upstairs hall.....he will give the astounding history.
Bronwyn has the gift of the perfect eye; decorating every room with unique features including the wonderfully surprising and workable stable doors for the master shower, fully lit cabinetry walk in master closets and the local art work on the walls, soft paint colors of the bedrooms and putting her unique green touch on all decorative aspects including luxury linens and every feature you would possible want in your own ensuite.
The beds were luxurious with ultra fine linens that you melt into after a day of adventure.
Should you need/want/choose to cook, every possible spice, dish and cooking utensil is available in the kitchen

Well, what can I say about the back yard: picture a trout stream running into a top trout pond, trickling thru the bottom trout pond and then meandering back into the main creek,
Halfway through the well manicured yard and over by the trickling creek you find a timber sauna that has a wood burning stove in it. Bliss.
After fishing , swimming and exploring creekside, you come home to a lovely covered deck with cushioned chairs and lap throws on those chilly nights while you make s'mores at the firepit.
I seem to go on and on, but on and on is the heart of this review.
On and on is what Soudough is all about. On and on great times and on and forever great memories,
I just wish all of August was available! Oh, yes, I would be back in a heart beat!! On and on.

Everything said , I would love to spend my full summers at Sourdough Lodge and never look for anywhere else to stay. It. was that charming, perfect and beautiful, and the neighbors are delightful!
Really Perfect.

BOZEMAN BEAUTY

  • 5 of 5
This was our third time staying at the Sourdough Canyon Lodge and again, we loved it. Our group of 8 (two families with kids) was able to have enough space to hang out, fish in the ponds and the creek, relax on the back deck, hike or go on a long walk, and entertain our family from Bozeman with dinners at the giant dining room table. The location is private and yet still close to everything we wanted to do in town or beyond. The owners are very responsive and super nice as well. Can't wait for our trip next year!

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY

  • 5 of 5
My husband, teenage children, and parents spent our spring break week in this fabulous house and could not have made a better choice. I'm sure I will echo what all the other reviewers said but I felt I had to give a recent review. The house was perfect in every way: location, size, and amenities. We felt like we were in our own private resort with plenty of space both inside and out. The house has every detail that one could want, and was decorated beautifully. We were probably there during the least attractive time - in between seasons, but the property was still stunningly beautiful. The people of Bozeman were just lovely, and we started several conversations with people on the street by petting their dogs. They were friendly and genuinely interested in what had brought us to Bozeman from North Carolina. And of course Bronwyn and Tom were just wonderful. We had more contact with Tom but both were quick with responses to our questions and Tom kept us with a supply of wood for our nightly fire in that gorgeous fireplace. He built most of that house himself and is a true craftsman. I can't think of a more perfect house, setting or set of homeowners with whom to deal. It was a very memorable vacation in large part because of this fabulous property and home owners.... perfect in every way!
