Location: A short ride to Night Heron Park and 2 fabulous pools and to 10 miles of beautiful beach. 273 Summer Tanager Ct is located on a quiet 5 home cul-de-sac, a mile from the front gate.
View: 273 overlooks the 9th and 10th fairways of Kiawah's 4.5 star Cougar Point Golf Course and a large lagoon separating them. One can see the 9th and 10th greens as well the 10th tees. In the evening, see the fabulous sunset over the lagoon and golf course.
Residence: This house is designed with wide windows allowing sunlight in the living room during the morning and afternoon. The master bedroom has a panoramic view of the lagoon and golf course. All rooms are outfitted with the latest and large TVs, wall mounted for optimum viewing. The TVs range from 32' to 51'. The kitchen has its own 32' TV.
The living room has a brick fire place centering the room. The furnishings include a brand new 3 piece Mahogany leather couch set with dual reclining sofas, a love seat, and a glider recliner, which faces the fire place affixed with a 51' TV mounted right to the brick.
The master suite has a cottage retreat king panel bed, dresser, night stands, and a weatherly set king size mattress. The 42' TV is wall mounted and compliments the cottage retreat matching furniture.
Why Kiawah: The Summer 2012 issue of Coastal Living ranked Kiawah Island #1 as the “most blissful place to live along the coasts of the United States”. Writer Tracey Martin says, “If heaven had a zip code, it would have to be 29455. This exquisite barrier island is home to 10 miles of unspoiled fine-sand beach; wild-growing palmetto oak, and magnoalia trees; a veritable Noah’s ark’s worth of mammals and rare birds; and 1.626 lucky residents. With small-town charms and proximity to the gracious urbanity of Charleston, Kiawah makes the ideal possible: a vacation-like lifestyle with easy access to commerce and culture. Home to five award-winning golf courses, the island will play host to the PGA Championship in August. Frankly, life here is one sweet day of play after another- biking on the 30-plus miles of paved paths, or shopping at local hub Freshfields Village (at the crossroads of Kiawah, Seabrook, and Johns islands). Residents often kayak down the tree-shaded Kiawah River to watch egrets, herons, and bald eagles enjoying their sanctuary. And when the sun goes down on this paradise, you’ll be amazed at the sea of stars above.”

My mom visited Charleston on a medical conference and toured Kiawah with fellow doctors. She brought my dad and me down on a summer vacation and we fell in love. We purchased a 1 bedroom villa in 2004, which we still own, but I grew up and wanted my own bedroom. We purchased this beautiful private home on the 4.5 star Cougar Point Golf Course.
My home is located on a quiet cul-de-sac. This beautiful home offers superb lagoon views, as well as views of Cougar Point's 9th and 10th fairways. The spacious living room showcases golf course and lagoon views through floor-to-ceiling windows. The living room opens to a deck with entrances to the master suite and the screened porch.
