Catskill Farmhouse Rental Photos and Description

3 bedrooms, 1 full bathroom, 1 half bathroom, sleeps 7

Our rates are for a minimum stay of any 2 nights at $700 with each additional night at $225. Please note the cleaning fee @ $100. UNFORTUNATELY, the INSTANT QUOTE calculator does not reflect that and there's nothing a homeowner can do but complain about how the website manages it. Sorry!

Our 1850+ sq ft home offers complete seclusion down a 500ft drive on majestic 3 acres with upgrades done by owner/artist/photographer. The home has a large open feel between the living room, kitchen and dining room. It's the perfect family retreat and friend's getaway with great kitchen accommodations and comfortable dining indoors or on the large screened porch. There are two TV/DVD/VHS players (one in the master B/R) and H/S Internet plus Mac-Mini, WiFi an enormous stash of board games and films for all ages. Three scenic lakes are within 30 minutes for swimming and boat rentals, as are Hunter and Windham ski resorts. And in any season, the thriving arts community in Catskill, Woodstock, Saugerties and Hudson are a total pleasure.

Please note, an extended stay of up to four weeks is available during the July-August season.

Cat allergies: We have a cat that comes with us to the house about one weekend every six weeks.

Great idyllic spot. Beautiful spacious house with ALL of the amenities of home. We felt immediately at home. I would wholeheartedly recommend a stay here. Easy access to the mountains and to all of the fun shopping etc in Woodstock. And, the landlord was easily available with answers to any questions. All in all, A++

Keeps getting better!

  • 5 of 5
This is our third year renting this house and it only gets better. We have known the hosts, Ken and Anne, for years now and they are still as considerate and conscientious as they were the first time we rented. Their home is warm and inviting, always clean, and very well laid out for two families with two kids each. There are three ample bedrooms, a huge downstairs, and lots of room outside. We can't recommend this rental highly enough! If you want a nice retreat from the urban thrall, definitely consider this cozy home upstate.

Quiet, Charming getaway

  • 5 of 5
My friends and I rented the house for my birthday. We all live in New York City so it was great to escape to the Catskills for the weekend. It was a nice, comfortable, quiet place to relax and enjoy each other's company. It's a very nice sized property, with a great yard to hang out in to bbq and read a book. We also loved cooking and eating out on the screened in porch. The house is also near some very pretty hiking and swimming. Definitely a great place to get away from it all.

So cozy

  • 4 of 5
We rented the house for my dad's birthday and were conveniently close to the towns of Catskill and Hudson, where some great restaurants can be found, and also had the luxury of cooking at the house with ingredients we scored at local farms and butchers.
The house couldn't have been comfier. So clean and cozy.
Make sure to take advantage of the fire place!

Lovely home, lovely owners

  • 5 of 5
We had the nicest stay at this farmhouse. We rented it for a family get away from the city and it absolutely fit the bill. The house and property are exactly as described and photographed. The house is spacious, comfortably sleeps (in the bedrooms) and seats (in the living room, dining room and on the screened in porch) as many people as advertised and has more than enough towels, silverware and dishes for 7 people, including beach towels and blankets for picnicking. The kitchen is very well equipped and easy to cook in. I'm an avid cook and I found everything I needed. The house was very clean when we arrived. Mobile phone reception was good and there was a computer with internet access. The customer service was excellent. The owners sent me a lot of information about things to do in the area before I came so I had some ideas. When we arrived at the house not only was there a folder with maps and destination ideas, but also a bottle of delicious wine. The house is very quiet and secluded, but it is located close to roads for easy access to local attractions. We went, on the owners' recommendation, to a nearby lake and had a great day swimming and hiking in the mountains. We were able to visit friends who were staying in Saugerties (a quaint little town with good food) with only a 20 minute drive. The house is also located quite close to the towns of Catskill and Hudson with easy access to the Amtrak train station. The house and its location are wonderful, but it's the owners who are the icing on the cake. They made us feel welcome even before we had paid in full and were prompt in returning our deposit payment. I would absolutely recommend it to my friends and relatives.

My husband and I along with another couple and our brood of children was looking for a rental close to Hunter and Wyndham for the 2011-12 ski season. Luckily we chanced upon Ken and Anne's home in Catskill because it was the perfect fit for us. We stayed there a total of 4 weekends from Jan - March 2012 and had a marvelous time every single weekend. Everything about their home was welcoming. Ken and Anne, the owners, were attentive and gracious, always sending emails and checkups before and after every visit. Any issues we had they took care of instantly and even went so far as to welcome us with a bottle of wine on our first weekend out! It was touches like this that made the four weekends so lovely. They provided sheets and towels (a luxury that not many homes in the area provide surprisingly) and the house was immaculate. The property itself is very spacious and the kids loved playing in the 3 acre yard. The guys of course enjoyed barbequing on their enormous grill while everyone got a kick out of their wood burning fireplace/stove in the living room. Ken and Anne obviously put a lot of thought into this home: surround sound speakers were installed in all the downstairs rooms; there were ample games, balls, sporting equipment for the adults and kids; there is a washer/dryer; and all the normal trappings that you don't think to buy for a rental (paper towels, dish detergent, soap, toilet paper, etc) were already in place. We've rented a few other places and have been shocked on occasion to learn that even dish washing soap and toilet paper wasn't included! Well, you won't have to worry about a thing at this house. When we left they were even installing a state of the art stove/range for all those budding chefs out there! I can't stress how much we enjoyed our time at this house. But the fact that we've already made plans to head back for 6 more weekends this coming ski season is recommendation enough!
