We love to travel the world, but truly enjoy our two homes in Colorado and on Cape Cod. We have 3 grown children and 5 grandchildren. We both still work full time, but hopefully retirement is on the horizon.
They say 'once you get Cape Cod sand in your shoes . . you'll always come back.' Well, we live in Colorado, and ALWAYS come back to our cottage on Cape Cod several times a year. The cottage has been in our family since 1960, we are the 2nd generation to own it. Location, location, location - we walk to our private beach, all roads dead-end at the ocean/inlet, so we have minimal traffic. In five minutes we can be at the Craigville Beach, the Melody Tent, Main Street in Hyannis, the Kennedy Compound, Cape Cod Baseball League games, the ferries or any number of restaurants. We love to be able to jump on 6 or 6A and be in Chatham in about 20 minutes. The maddening crowd is nowhere in sight . . . but, if we really want to to find them, they aren't far away.
We love the quietness of our street. We can grab a quick 'lobstah' roll, cup o' 'chowdah', or fried clams and walk to our private 'little beach' and enjoy the breezes, watch para-sailors or the local little ones try to catch crabs from the jetty - just a perfect 'slice of Cape Cod.'
