We owned one of the most highly rated gourmet restaurants in northeast Michigan until retiring last September in order to spend more time with family and travel. We continue to provide personal chef service.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2004

Sandy grew up in nearby Harrisville. Tim grew up in Howell and spent lots of time at his grandparent's Lake Huron home. We both love the area and that big lake! This was the best beach we could find so here we are!

We love spending time on the beach swimming, walking and sun bathing. In the evenings we love to build a fire and star gaze. If you live in metropolitan area you will be amazed at the star shine. Keep watch for the northern lights too.

What a wonderful spot for a romantic winter getaway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this cottage. Best stocked kitchen with all the staples and tools you will need for a delicious meal! Thanks to Chef/Owner Tim who had an inviting fire going upon our arrival and was most helpful. The lobster mac & cheese is a must try!

We absolutely loved our stay here! The owners are very personable! The cabin has lovely wood paneling throughout; there is a jacuzzi on the deck from which one may see the lake; the grounds are heavily wooded so it feels very private. The owners keep it well-stocked w/ kitchen staples, and the furnishings are very comfortable. The beach is clean, sandy, and easy to walk. We could not have been happier with our stay!

My husband & I spent a weekend here for our 30th wedding anniversary. My husband made arrangements with the owner to have a dozen red roses & a bottle of wine there upon our arrival. The owner was happy to do it. He offered to fix us appetizers and dinner, too. He was also very quick to respond to a small issue we had with the hot tub. The cottage is an awesome knotty pine with lots of character. Enjoyed taking long walks on the sandy beach and sitting on the deck looking at the lake was quite relaxing, too. Also, spent time in the hot tub in the evening. Was looking forward to having a bonfire near the lake, however it rained in the evenings when we were there so we weren't able to enjoy that. We have stayed at many vacation rentals and this one was great find!

We could not have been happier with this property. It is exactly as described. Clean, comfortable and well stocked. I can't say enough about how beautiful the beach and lake is. Pure, clean, soft sand as far as you can see, both in and out of water. We used the fire pit almost every night and appreciated the split and stocked wood next to it. We also used the hot tub far more than I thought we would to warm up after a brisk lake swim. Tim was very easy to work with and although we didn't take advantage of culinary skills I definitely would do so in the future. I highly recommend this vacation home and will return again

From the moment we walked in the door, we knew it was going to be exactly the get-away we were looking for. The inside of the cottage is entirely wrapped in charming knotty pine, the bedroom is very large and the king size bed is very comfortable. The whole place is picture perfect and is also very clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with every cooking utensil and then some.
The shoreline is great and enjoyed many relaxing walks and the hot tub is an extra bonus.. The owner Tim is great and communication is excellent. SIMPLY THE PERFECT GET-AWAY!
