To the west there is Montepulciano, Pienza, Siena, the harmonious Chianti, the uncontaminated Val d'Orcia, San Gimignano, the charm of Crete Senesi, Volterra and Maremma. Here one can sample the best that both the Tuscany and Umbria cuisines have to offer, with simple but tasty dishes, an excellent example of the Mediterranean diet, where olive oil reigns supreme. Some of Italy's best wines, now known all over the world, are produced here.
For nature lovers: For nature lovers and those who enjoy walking, cycling or horse-riding there are countless itineraries taking you through forests and charming landscapes.
Golf: For golf lovers, the closest course is the Lamborghini at Panicale (9-hole), while a little further away is the Golf Club Antognolla (18-hole). Other sports are available in the immediate vicinity.
