Hidden in the Cross Timbers area of North Texas, Rancho Sereno is a 165 acre private ranch and wildlife preserve. Located on the ranch is the Inn at Sandy Creek – overlooking native prairie, indigenous hardwoods and a six acre lake stocked with bass.

The Inn is designed in contemporary Texas vernacular style with expansive porches and beautiful views of the surrounding country. The interiors were created by a recognized San Francisco design firm with a level of sophistication not usually found in a property of this size.

The Inn is the perfect spot for a weekend retreat with family and friends and an elegant headquarters for horse owners and professionals visiting the area. The owners’ accomplished broodmares and their foals are at home here and will greet you when you arrive.

Notes: Our nightly room rates are all-inclusive for four people and includes unlimited self help to beverages and ice from the outdoor pavilion kitchen. Sandy Creek bisects Rancho Sereno and separates the Inn and the reining horse breeding operation from the ranch’s 115 acre wildlife preserve. Guests are welcome to hike through the wildlife preserve. The five acre private lake was designed by a well known wildlife biologist and fisheries expert and is stocked with an appropriate food chain at the top of which are Florida and native largemouth bass. Guests are encouraged to fish the private lake on a catch and release basis. The ranch asks that fisherman use every reasonable effort to release the fish without harm. These fish have a short memory, so you may catch one twice! Guests are welcome to observe our reining horses and can tour the barn
