About Kevin Roberts

We are a happy couple who began as high school sweethearts, and now have been married almost 35 years...with 4 married children and 12 grandchildren. (Time really does fly :) We bought this beautiful log home in 2008 and have had many wonderful vacations here, enjoying the outdoors and relaxing. We love roasting hot dogs, marshmallows and making s'mores/choco-biscuits (a family favorite :) around the fire pit and playing basketball, Bocce ball, riding bikes, and running and playing in the backyard. We love to fish and hike and have had many opportunities to do just that! The scenery at the nearby Bryce Canyon National Park and Cedar Breaks, etc. are so breath taking and some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Make sure to take a camera! Panguitch Lake is wonderful and has boat rentals. We have taken the entire family on a boat and all the older grandkids were able to catch a fish! On one of our adventures to Bryce Canyon we even found a Geocache, which was very exciting. All around, we absolutely love to get away from the city and enjoy nature and the great outdoors here at our RED ROOF RETREAT!!

Why Kevin Roberts chose Bryce Canyon

We chose this location because it is central to so many National Parks and lakes (you can even ice fish in the winter), and we absolutely love the quaint small-town atmosphere of Panguitch, Utah!! We had toyed with the idea of buying a home here for many years, and jumped on the opportunity to buy this beautiful log home...the RED ROOF RETREAT, we call it! The towns people in Panguitch are some of the most friendly people we have ever met. They treat you like family from the minute you say hello. We now have our favorite stores to visit and restaurants that we can't wait to enjoy! There is even a pizza delivery if we can't pull ourselves away from the most comfortable sofa we have ever owned! All around, it is a beautiful, tranquil, amazing setting and we absolutely love it!! Can't wait to get there ourselves :)

Comfortable home, great location, good owner

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here with our nine kids. The house was comfortable. Plenty of space. Good beds, plenty of linen. Kevin was a pleasure to deal with - patient, friendly. Close to Bryce, Zion, Cedar Breaks, and not too far from Grand Canyon North Rim (which is much quieter and perhaps more beautiful too than the South Rim). The town has all the basics - not the ghost town I was expecting based on some other reviewers.

Bottom line - great choice for a reasonably priced, comfortable home close to some of our country's most beautiful sites.

We LOVED this house!

  • 5 of 5

Two families with 5 kids total stayed in the Red Roof Retreat in Panguitch for 5 days and we absolutely loved it!

The house was very clean and comfortable and the yard and basketball court was exactly what we needed for the kids to run around and play. The bedrooms had loads of room for everyone and the beds and furniture were very comfortable. The location was great for our visits to Bryce and Zion National Park and our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer.

All communication with Kevin was easy and prompt and we really felt well taken care of in the house. We would all both stay here again and recommend the house to anyone looking to stay in the area. The stars at night were phenomenal too, nothing like we see in our city:)

Convenient location to Bryce and Zion

  • 4 of 5

The place fit perfectly for the 13 of us. The place was clean and very convenient to both Bryce Canyon and Zion national parks where we went.

Well stocked with kitchen utensils, plates, spoons, fork, etc. Coffee maker was available and a dishwasher. There was a clothes washer and dryer but we did t use it. Plenty of movies as well if you are not tired from the days tour. Gas grill at the back works but probably needs gas.

Overall, we would stay here again to visit other parks close by.

Great place to stay! There was plenty of room for our family of 10. Kitchen is nicely equipped and plenty of space. Quite neighborhood, close to Bryce canyon and not far to Zion Park. We would stay here again!

Amazing Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We came here with another family to relax after a long sports tournament. The children range in age from 7-15 and they all loved it. We took advantage of the big yard and of course the camp fire circle. Campfire stories and s'mores two nights in a row.

The thing that shocked us the most is that the house actually looks like the pictures, the kitchen and dining area were big and we cooked all our meals in, the bedrooms were so cute the kids all got to sleep in beds with their friends. Big thanks for the big selection of Disney movies which made winding down a bit easier!

For those of you looking to stay here instead of Bryce it's an easy drive and the grocery store in town has plenty of everything so don't worry about shopping on the way.

Thanks Kevin for opening your home!
