U.S. CAPITOL GROUNDS & UNION STATION/METRO 2 BLKS! 3RD & F ST NE WDC

My husband and I travelled to WDC with our young daughter and our moms. The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything a traveler would need. We drove from NJ so the parking for our car worked out great. The location of the home by Union Station was ideal as we took the Old Town Trolley tour right from there, so we simply walked over to the station and got to see ALL of WDC so easily and efficiently. The house is very well kept and the owner is easy to communicate with and accommodating. The only issue I had was that there was evidence of a cat that has stayed there (or is perhaps the owner’s) so being as I am allergic to cats, this was a problem for me. I will be sure that when I return, I will bring allergy medicine, as NOTHING is worth passing up this awesome home if you’re going to be staying in WDC!

We spent Thanksgiving week in Jeff's townhome. It was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pot and pans and more than enough other gear to make it easy to whip up a Thanksgiving meal for the family. We spent a lot of time at the museums on the Mall. It was a pleasant 15 - 20 minute walk to get there. For things further afield, the metro stop at Union Station is an easy 2-3 short blocks away.

Jeff was easy to work with via email, text message and phone. We've been to DC before, so we didn't need very much help, but he was happy to answer any questions that we did have.

Bottom line: We had a great time in DC and a great and well located place to stay. I would happily recommend staying here again to anyone.

After sleeping on an air mattress in Pennsylvania then a hotel in New York, Jeff's place in DC felt like home! I loved that Jeff was so easy to work with, helpful, and accessible. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. It was perfect for our family of 2 adults and 4 kids. The neighborhood felt safe and it was easy to travel to all of the sightseeing places in DC from the home without a car. We enjoyed many sights and attractions in the DC area by day, took a taxi home, and had a relaxing dinner and baths for the kids at the townhome. It makes vacationing that much easier knowing you have a nice place to return to at the end of a long day! Thank you Jeff for keeping such a lovely home.
