Wonderful Family Get Together Spot

As other reviews have said, the property was comfortable, clean, and in a remote location with spectacular views. The house itself was spacious, easily accommodating our family group of nine adults and four children ranging in age from four months to seven years. The spacious deck with plenty of seating, two tables, a movable fire pit with plenty of split wood, a top-notch large gas grill and a newish hot tub (accommodates four adults) were well used and enjoyed by all. This vantage point allowed us to soak in all the fantastic vistas and occasional wildlife that wandered by (deer, wild turkeys and a foraging black bear one morning that looked at us for a minute and decided to wander off elsewhere).
While everything about the property was as advertised on the fact sheet, there are several clarifications we would share with others considering a stay at Rocky Mountain Heights. The house has two showers, one shower by itself on the ground level and one on the third level in a full bath between two bedrooms. All other baths in the house were actually half baths, with the three in bedrooms also having a bathtub available, one being the Roman soaking tub and the other two having small claw foot type tubs (about a foot or so shorter than a standard bathtub). Not having air conditioning was also a bit of a surprise, but this is probably typical in the area given the elevation. The local property manager was very responsive to a couple of issues that arose during our stay.
In summary, we had a fantastic time. The property location suited everyone well, whether some liked nature (nearby hiking trails and RMNP), shopping (Estes Park) or visiting the many craft beer breweries within an hour's or so drive. We all had a fantastic time and a memorable vacation.

Owner's Response: We’re glad the house was a wonderful family get together spot. Many families have enjoyed the cleanliness, comfort, and spectacular views. We strive to give each guest a 5-star vacation. We don’t mention air conditioning because not a lot of air conditioning is used at such high elevation. Estes Park has had one of the hottest summers on record and broke many daily records. This is the only time the mention of air conditioning has come up and we apologize for any discomfort. During normal summers, the many windows and calm mountain breezes keep the house nice and cool and allow you to hear the varied sounds of nature. We describe the house with 5½ bathrooms because we think of a bathroom as a tub or shower, a toilet, and a sink. That’s why we use 5½ on the property information sheet we send to all who inquire about renting. Sorry for the misunderstanding. We hope you’ll remember your fantastic time and the memorable vacation. Welcome back and come again if you’re in Estes Park!
