Osa Mountain Village Resort is located on the Southern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. We are about 40 minutes south of the beach town of Dominical & 20 minutes north of the town of Palmar Norte. This sustainable development resort sits on over 750 acres of land mostly which is primary & secondary growth forest. From the resort there are incredible views of the Grand Térraba River, the Fila Costeña mountains, the Térraba River Valley, and out to the setting sun sinking over Coronado Bay into the Pacific Ocean. Our eco-adventure resort features its very own zipline canopy tour, nature trails, and three waterfalls with many other jungle and beach activities nearby. Osa Mountain Village Resort is one of the few eco-tourism destinations in Costa Rica where you can actually walk from your comfortable vacation villa to your jungle adventure.

Osa Mountain Village Resort stretches up the sides of these mountains for several kilometers, starting at 1,400 feet in elevation and reaching an altitude of over 3000 feet. The resort provides cooler breezes than at the beach, breathtaking ocean views and amazing sunsets. Surrounded by primary jungle the area abounds with birds and wildlife. The Southe Pacific region is one of the last unspoiled frontiers of Costa Rica and the government has taken active measures to limit mega developments that plague the northern coastal area. In January 2010, the coastal road was finally paved, giving visitors and residents unfettered access.

On the side of the mountains looking down on the Pacific Ocean you will find the new villas of Osa Mountain Village Resort. Our resort is very secluded and surrounded by primary jungle forests teeming with wildlife. Choose to relax on the terrace while watching the monkeys and birds or take a hike down to any one of the three waterfalls located on the resort. We worked closely with our designers and builders to provide luxurious accommodations common to European and American standards.

Many of our furnishings are hand-crafted in Costa Rica made using wood from sustainable plantations. Costa Rica is always vibrant and full of textures and flavors. Our interior designs remind you of the hard working Tico culture as they reflect the colors and diversity of its people. Through the use of palm, jute plant, and other natural fibers you will also find a connection with the cultural roots of the aboriginal people.

The area also has a modern hospital and all the business activities and services necessary within a 20-60 minute drive. Best of all, we have the most significant untouched National Parks just down the road – Corcovado N.P. with miles of pristine coast line and jungle hiking trails and the Whale Marine National Park (Marino Ballena) with the southern-most migration point for the 45-foot long endangered humpback whale. The mangrove estuary of Sierpe also lies at the base of our mountains and is full of wildlife.
