This beauty near West Yellowstone has views to die for from the great room, deck and 3 bedrooms. Guests have complete privacy because the house is in the middle of its 50% wooded 20 acres. The Park is a short scenic drive away, mostly along Hegben Lake which is rimmed by the peaks of the Continental Divide. Two King size beds and six singles that can be put together to make 5 King size beds makes roomy sleeping for 10.

Walk to trout-filled Wade Lake with boat rentals, bald eagle and osprey nests, moose and elk. Unrivaled however is the resident herd of 40 elk on the house's fenced subdivision as well as many antelope. It is a short drive to the cowboy town of Ennis and the restored gold mining town of Virginia City. More superb fishing is just below the property on the famed Madison River while Henry's Lake and several blue ribbon streams are nearby.

This high-end beauty situated at about 7000 ft., has 23 ft ceilings, granite counter tops, 2 dishwashers, hardwood, ceramic tile and 3 walk-in tile showers. Its 500 ft. aspen-lined driveway is enchanting. It comes with a fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, outdoor grill, all linens, Internet and satellite radio/stereo system.

Three floors with three bedrooms on the lowest level allow for children to have their own level. The lowest level also has two sliding glass doors to the large stone patio at the lower ground level.

Retired living in a Houston suburb and loving to stay in our Montana house to fly fish the Madison, visit Yellowstone, hike and photograph the adjacent Cliff and Wade lakes and chill out taking in the spectacular views from our deck (Houston is as flat as it gets).

My wife Lauren and I fell in love with the property as soon as it was shown to us. It is the best 20 acres in the subdivision being 50% covered in an aspen forest that provides 100% privacy with openings that you see in the accompanying photographs.

This truly lovely vacation home lived up to our every expectation and to the description provided by the owner! The home is beautifully situated on 20+ acres of peaceful meadows and aspen forest, resplendent with wildflowers and all kinds of wildlife with absolutely spectacular views of the Madison mountain range and river from the great room, dining area and deck! Unlike other vacation homes we looked at in the area, this property offered a unique level of privacy, with no noise from neighbors, roads, etc. The house was very well maintained and well stocked with the necessities. It had everything we needed in the kitchen, laundry, bathrooms etc. and was very clean upon our arrival. Although our party was small, this house is well-equipped to handle 10 or more guests comfortably.
We used the home as a base to visit Yellowstone and the surrounding areas and spent several days just hanging around the area near the house. Both Wade and Cliff lakes nearby are beautiful little gems that are well worth a visit to hike, swim or fish. Per other reviews, the owner, Joe, was a pleasure to work with, promptly responding to our booking request, answering questions we had and refunding our security deposit, etc.
We highly recommend this beautiful property to anyone planning a vacation stay in the Yellowstone area and hope one day to come back for a return visit!!!

June 2012 Family Vacation

We just spent a fantastic week at this great house! The views of the mountains are second to none. Every day we had elk, deer and pronghorns visiting the back yard. The house is class from top to bottom and has every amenity you and your family will need for a great week. There is plenty of room with 5 large bedrooms.
I stongly suggest a vist to nearby Wade lake, the fishing is awesome for trout in the 18"-24" range and it is also a great place for a lakeside picnic(we did this 3 times during the week). Cant wait to get back there!!

Family vacation

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Windows with a View. There were 10 of us and everyone had a comfortable bed. The dining table seated us comfortably and there were plenty of dishes and silverware. The view really is spectacular out of the living room window and on the spacious deck. The house is well appointed with dual fuel stove, dishwasher drawers and large refrigerator (all in stainless steel). The bathrooms are nice with large tiled showers. The house was very clean and well maintained. There is a large meadow where kids can safely run around.

The owner was very helpful in providing information before we went and answering a couple of questions while we were there.

The only drawback was that Yellowstone was 40 minutes away but the ability to put our whole family in one house and to easily cook greatly outweighed that.

I certainly would recommend this house for a family vacation.

OUTSTANDING!!!!

6 Adults and 2 chilldren in opur party stayed here from June 11-18, 2011. Absolutley wonderful home. Everything in the home was in brand new condition. The beds were extremely comfortable.

We spent many hours in the mornings and evenings sitting in the Great Room looking out the windows, enjoying beverages of choice! (I never knew it could take 3 hours to finish coffee in the morning!!)

The owner, Joe was very easy to work with and was most accomodating. I would have no reservation recommending this home to others. Our goal was to spend a week in the Yellowstone area and explore it at our leisure. This home provided the perfect location as well as amenities to fulfill and exceed our expectations.

Thank you very much Joe for allowing our family the priviledge to stay at your home this year.
