Riverside Vacation Home—stately rooms, vast grounds, entrancing views

We had a family reunion at this house in August 2012 and it was simply MAGICAL.
I searched high and low (in many different cities, I might add) for a place large enough to accommodate our 22 person party of adults and children, and what a pleasant and wondorous surprise this place was. We had enough space for full family dinners but the living space is allocated such that privacy is not difficult to find. Master bedrooms are spacious with wonderfully appointed bathrooms. Highlights? The views, the firepit, the volleyball court, the ping pong table, the amazingly huge yard, the fully stocked kitchen, convention-size table in the basement perfect for late night poker parties, watching fish jump in the river every morning and evening (from the house!), the proximity to town and a grocery store (10 min walk), and my personal favorite - the beach at the river! If you do not bring inner tubes to float on the river in the summer, you are missing out. So many wonderful family memories created at this beautiful house!
When I suggested the possiblity of staying someplace else this coming summer, the answer from the family was a resounding "NO!". We will definitely be returning to enjoy a little slice of paradise with our family again and I cannot recommend this rental property highly enough!

Perfect spot for our family get together. There was plenty to do for all ages - hiking, shopping, relaxing, etc.. The setting is absolutely beautiful - the river view and backyard were peaceful and perfect. The kitchen was amazingly outfitted with everything we needed to cook a meal. Thank you!

I wish we could have stayed longer as 2 nights wasn't enough! The location right on the river is unbeatable. We played volleyball and enjoyed the great yard. Wished we would have had a fire but ran out of time. A great set up and lots of space to entertaiin. It was weird how close the back of the house is to the other property but we hardly encountered the neighbors and never ran into any problems.
