No stairs here, and also no step-down or basement feel to this beautiful ground floor 900 square foot one-bedroom apartment with fully updated kitchen & decor. Walking distance to anything in the Historic District. Situated between Forsyth Park (0.4 miles south of the house) and the River (0.7 miles north of the house) Jones Street is known as the prettiest street in Savannah. Jones is halfway between Forsyth Park and the River making it the definition of 'centrally located'.
Bedroom has a fabulous King size bed as well as a reading sofa. There is a 2nd flat screen tv in the bedroom which is totally separate from the Living Room for privacy. There is a Queen pullout sofa in the beautifully decorated living room. The bathroom is off of the kitchen.
Beautiful furnished back patio is yours to enjoy. Partially covered and partially sunny for the best of both worlds! Relax outdoors under a ceiling fan for breakfast or cocktail hour or even a meal if you tire of dining out!
Prime location, you will see horse drawn carriage tours passing right by your front door. No vehicle needed if you prefer to walk or take a very short taxi or pedicab ride to all the restaurants and nightlife destinations we have. One short block from Whitefield Square and also Troupe Square!
VERY SECURE, this house has bars on the windows and doors. You will see this on many houses in Savannah and the owners think it's pretty convenient! This is a historical feature that may seem extreme to some, especially on the prettiest street in town but one thing is for sure-- you can lock the place down like 'Fort Knox' if you want to!
Parking is free on-street and generally very easy. Most of our guests park right outside the apartment door.

This home is steps away from the gourmet and whimsical Firefly Cafe as well as the famous breakfast spot Clary's open 7 days a week. There is a French fine dining restaurant, Brasserie 529, a couple of blocks away on Liberty Street with a beautiful outdoor dining patio. Johnnie Ganem's Winery (and liquor store), also a local tradition, is a stroll away through Troupe Square. Walk less than a mile to Broughton Street or River Street and you will have a vast selection of other amazing dining and night life options.
The 'main house' upstairs is available on VRBO as well under listing 394500. It has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, all totally updated with high end finishes in all bathrooms and kitchen. Perfect if you are looking for family reunion type accomodations and need another rental close to the garden level.

Cancelation Policy: With more than 30 days notice you may cancel and receive a full refund less a $50 cancelation fee. Within 30 days no refunds will be give. Trip cancelation insurance will be offered by VRBO/HomeAway when you pay. That insurance is the only way to guarantee a refund for a last minute or emergency cancelation.

My experience was world class from the moment I made the inquiry to the moment we left. Mary anderson was a dream to work with. She was responsive and very available via phone or email. The unit was as described: clean and well appointed right in the Historic District of Savannah. We were actually 2 couples. The LR sofa pulls out as a hide-a-bed. As there was an alternate entrance in the back through the patio, the living room could actually be used as a private bedroom space. The covered patio made for a congenial social place to gather and share food and wine. The convenience of a large supermarket nearby was a huge plus.

We loved walking around our beautiful neighborhood and dining out frequently. The location, just steps from restaurants such as the Firefly Cafe as well as the Broughton Street nightlife, is the top feature of this home. Jones Street is known as the most beautiful street in Savannah, due to its grand width, its historic brick foundation and the gorgeous live oaks mixed with magnolias and palm trees. Additionally, for a single bedroom rental this apartment has a large scale including a nice ceiling height that will not make you feel closed in or have a 'rabbit warren' affect. We have decorated the entire apartment in a fresh clean contemporary fashion to appeal to guests of all ages.
