No stairs here, and also no step-down or basement feel to this beautiful ground floor 900 square foot one-bedroom apartment with fully updated kitchen & decor. Walking distance to anything in the Historic District. Situated between Forsyth Park (0.4 miles south of the house) and the River (0.7 miles north of the house) Jones Street is known as the prettiest street in Savannah. Jones is halfway between Forsyth Park and the River making it the definition of 'centrally located'.

Bedroom has a fabulous King size bed as well as a reading sofa. There is a 2nd flat screen tv in the bedroom which is totally separate from the Living Room for privacy. There is a Queen pullout sofa in the beautifully decorated living room. The bathroom is off of the kitchen.

Beautiful furnished back patio is yours to enjoy. Partially covered and partially sunny for the best of both worlds! Relax outdoors under a ceiling fan for breakfast or cocktail hour or even a meal if you tire of dining out!

Prime location, you will see horse drawn carriage tours passing right by your front door. No vehicle needed if you prefer to walk or take a very short taxi or pedicab ride to all the restaurants and nightlife destinations we have. One short block from Whitefield Square and also Troupe Square!

VERY SECURE, this house has bars on the windows and doors. You will see this on many houses in Savannah and the owners think it's pretty convenient! This is a historical feature that may seem extreme to some, especially on the prettiest street in town but one thing is for sure-- you can lock the place down like 'Fort Knox' if you want to!

Parking is free on-street and generally very easy. Most of our guests park right outside the apartment door.

This home is steps away from the gourmet and whimsical Firefly Cafe as well as the famous breakfast spot Clary's open 7 days a week. There is a French fine dining restaurant, Brasserie 529, a couple of blocks away on Liberty Street with a beautiful outdoor dining patio. Johnnie Ganem's Winery (and liquor store), also a local tradition, is a stroll away through Troupe Square. Walk less than a mile to Broughton Street or River Street and you will have a vast selection of other amazing dining and night life options.

The 'main house' upstairs is available on VRBO as well under listing 394500. It has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, all totally updated with high end finishes in all bathrooms and kitchen. Perfect if you are looking for family reunion type accomodations and need another rental close to the garden level.

Check in after 3pm, checkout by 11am.

Cancelation Policy: With more than 30 days notice you may cancel and receive a full refund less a $50 cancelation fee. Within 30 days no refunds will be give. Trip cancelation insurance will be offered by VRBO/HomeAway when you pay. That insurance is the only way to guarantee a refund for a last minute or emergency cancelation.

What makes this apartment unique

We loved walking around our beautiful neighborhood and dining out frequently. The location, just steps from restaurants such as the Firefly Cafe as well as the Broughton Street nightlife, is the top feature of this home. Jones Street is known as the most beautiful street in Savannah, due to its grand width, its historic brick foundation and the gorgeous live oaks mixed with magnolias and palm trees. Additionally, for a single bedroom rental this apartment has a large scale including a nice ceiling height that will not make you feel closed in or have a 'rabbit warren' affect. We have decorated the entire apartment in a fresh clean contemporary fashion to appeal to guests of all ages.

My experience was world class from the moment I made the inquiry to the moment we left. Mary anderson was a dream to work with. She was responsive and very available via phone or email. The unit was as described: clean and well appointed right in the Historic District of Savannah. We were actually 2 couples. The LR sofa pulls out as a hide-a-bed. As there was an alternate entrance in the back through the patio, the living room could actually be used as a private bedroom space. The covered patio made for a congenial social place to gather and share food and wine. The convenience of a large supermarket nearby was a huge plus.

Girls Week

Two middle aged ladies on their annual get-a-way. This was our first time to Savannah and what a wonderful experience we had. The apartment is exactly as the pictures show, such a lovely place, on a lovely street,and the patio is such an asset to the apartment. We walked everywhere except the grocery store. The Trolleys are so much fun and the Guides (drivers) make the ride even more enjoyable by throwing their personalities into telling the history of the City. We definitely recommend the "Walking Foody Tour". We were there for one week and couldn't even begin to get everything there is to do done in that time, we are definitely coming back and hopefully that will be next year. Loved the apartment and the City. We highly recommend this apartment!

Good location and very clean

Condo was great and easy to find. A lot of reviews mention the parking as a problem, but we didn't have any issues parking on the street. Could walk everywhere. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Owner's Response: Glad to see those comments, although I don't see many reviews for this listing mentioning the parking in any kind negative light. Perhaps this guest is referencing reviews on other Savannah properties. I'll just take the opportunity to expand on the topic. For this location the parking is really easy, the block only gets full/competitive during Church on Sunday as there is a church across the street. Even then the next block will have open spots and is steps away. The street does have sweeping times posted on signs: one side of this street gets cleaned in the middle of the night on Friday night, the other side gets cleaned at midnight on Saturday night. So on weekends you do have to switch sides to avoid a ticket, which has recently gone up to $15 (this ticket is issued if your car is in the way of the sweeper if you forget to move the car). The rest of the 5 days in the week you can park on both sides of this wide street for free and never have to move it. I think this parking situation is more convenient than the condos I manage that have a garage to park in, while the garage "off street" parking sounds good to first time guests, reality is that in the best case scenario you walk the equivalent of a block from the garage each time you park your car, whereas here at this listing you are normally less than half a block from your door if not right in front of it. You do not need a permit and do not have to keep up with a garage card. All of my repeat customers agree and when given the choice they stay here for ease of parking.

Our Mother-Daughter Getaway

My daughter and I were very comfortable in the garden apartment on beautiful E. Jones Street. Many restaurants, attractions and even Kroger's were within walking distance. Kroger's and some other spots necessitated taking a cab back, but fares were very reasonable. Mary was very accommodating and truly went beyond her duties to see that we lacked for nothing. Highlights of our trip included the Bonaventure Cemetery and the musical Jukebox at the Savannah Theater. All guides were amazingly knowledgeable in their presentations. Memorable restaurants included Clary's and Rocks down by the river. DOT (free, public transportation) was utilized a few times without disappointment. If I were to go again, it would be later in the fall or earlier in the spring. It was just a bit to warm for us! Thanks, Mary, and happy renting!

Loved this apartment!!!

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for an anniversary celebration for a four-day weekend and really loved this apartment as well as the location! Everything we needed was provided and we plan to stay here again! Be prepared to walk but who could complain when the area is so beautiful! Dinner at Alligator Soul, breakfast at Clary's and our favorite bar 1790 made this the perfect celebration! Thank you Mary!!!

Wonderful Appointed Apartment in the Heart of the Historic District

Charming apartment in the heart of the historic district and in walking distance to most all key historic sites. The apartment was nicely furnished, very clean, and had so many extras it felt just like home but better. The apartment is also on the ground floor, extremely nice for carrying in luggage. Also ample parking right on the street. I will return again in the future.

Great Stay!!

We really enjoyed our stay at this one bedroom apartment on Jones Street. Mary was extremely easy to work with and the apartment had everything we were looking for. We were really able to enjoy the city and we walked everywhere. Not once did we drive around. Even walking to the restaurants by the river did not feel far at all because of the sites around us. Savannah is a beautiful place and this apartment was perfect for my wife and I to enjoy everything that Savannah had to offer. What a great stay. Thank you, Mary.
