Spacious Garden Level of a c1875 Brick Townhouse in the heart of the Historic District on Beautiful East Jones Street. Walk to everything!

No stairs here, and also no step-down or basement feel to this beautiful ground floor 900 square foot one-bedroom apartment with fully updated kitchen & decor. Walking distance to anything in the Historic District. Situated between Forsyth Park (0.4 miles south of the house) and the River (0.7 miles north of the house) Jones Street is known as the prettiest street in Savannah.

Bedroom has a fabulous King size bed as well as a reading sofa. There is a 2nd flat screen tv in the bedroom which is totally separate from the Living Room for privacy. There is a Queen pullout sofa in the beautifully decorated living room. The bathroom is off of the kitchen.

Beautiful furnished back patio is yours to enjoy. Partially covered and partially sunny for the best of both worlds! Relax outdoors under a ceiling fan for breakfast or cocktail hour or even a meal if you tire of dining out!

Prime location, you will see horse drawn carriage tours passing right by your front door. No vehicle needed if you prefer to walk or take a very short taxi or pedicab ride to all the restaurants and nightlife destinations we have. One short block from Whitefield Square and also Troupe Square!

VERY SECURE, this house has bars on the windows and doors. This is a historical feature that may seem extreme to some, but one thing is for sure-- you can lock the place down like 'Fort Knox' if you want to!

Parking is free on-street and generally very easy. Most of our guests park right outside the apartment door.

This home is steps away from the gourmet and whimsical Firefly Cafe as well as the famous breakfast spot Clary's open 7 days a week. There is a brand new fine dining restaurant, Brasserie 529, a couple of blocks away on Liberty Street with a beautiful outdoor dining patio. Johnnie Ganem's Winery (and liquor store), also a local tradition, is a stroll away through Troupe Square. Walk less than a mile to Broughton Street or River Street and you will have a vast selection of other amazing dining and night life options.

The 'main house' upstairs is available on VRBO as well under listing 394500. It has 2 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, all totally updated with high end finishes in all bathrooms and kitchen. Hello my name is Mary! I have lived in Savannah for over 10 years. This was my last 'downtown' home before my family outgrew the space. I still live less than 5 miles from the property and I take great care of the house and our guests. Feel confident renting from a long time resident and business owner with strong ties in the Savannah community.

Why Mary Anderson chose Savannah

The main house was our residence from 2008 until the end of 2011. We chose to buy this home because we LOVE it and the garden apartment just happened to be a historic feature of this property. We have used the apartment first as a rental to a famous interior designer, then as an artist's studio and a family guest quarters and now we have arranged the space for your enjoyment! We chose to furnish it with contemporary items since the house itself is 'an antique'.

What makes this apartment unique

We loved walking around our beautiful neighborhood and dining out frequently. The location, just steps from restaurants such as the Firefly Cafe as well as the Broughton Street nightlife, is the top feature of this home. Jones Street is known as the most beautiful street in Savannah, due to its grand width, its historic brick foundation and the gorgeous live oaks mixed with magnolias and palm trees. Additionally, for a single bedroom rental this apartment has a large scale including a nice ceiling height that will not make you feel closed in or have a 'rabbit warren' affect. We have decorated the entire apartment in a fresh clean contemporary fashion to appeal to guests of all ages.

Two middle aged ladies on their annual get-a-way. This was our first time to Savannah and what a wonderful experience we had. The apartment is exactly as the pictures show, such a lovely place, on a lovely street,and the patio is such an asset to the apartment. We walked everywhere except the grocery store. The Trolleys are so much fun and the Guides (drivers) make the ride even more enjoyable by throwing their personalities into telling the history of the City. We definitely recommend the "Walking Foody Tour". We were there for one week and couldn't even begin to get everything there is to do done in that time, we are definitely coming back and hopefully that will be next year. Loved the apartment and the City. We highly recommend this apartment!

Propert is very well represented by pictures and description. It is clean and much more comfortable than a motel.There is a bit of a walk to City Market and River Street, but we enjoyed the walks each day. Clary's Cafe is a couple of blocks away and was great for an inexpensive breakfast.We enjoyed Crystal Beer Parlor down on W JonesSt for lunch although you don't hear as much about it. It was a hidden gem.Tybee Lighthouse and Ft Pulaski were also a great trip about 20 minutes away.

We stayed only one night on our way to Florida, then again on the way home. Apartment was very convenient, clean and comfortable. Though we were not there long enough to use all of it's advantages it is nicely set up for a longer stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is just outside of the historic district but easily accessible to all places in Savannah. Nicely decorated and well-kept. Very clean. Used the bedroom and pullout bed. Both were adequate.

Owner's Response: Just to clarify, this address is within the official boundary of the Historic District not "just outside" it as this review states. This person must be referring to the heavily trafficked commercial area of the Historic District, which we are slightly removed from by about 0.3 miles. Jones Street is more of a residential street, particularly this block which means parking is actually easy which is a good thing for anyone who wants to use their car during their stay. Some streets in the Historic District are nearly all stores, restaurants and bars. If you would like to stay in the center of the commercial area please call me as I do have several rentals on Broughton Street.

We had a wonderful time in this delightful and well located apartment. Mary was very helpful in setting this up. My husband and myself felt very comfortable. The bed was great and the kitchen well appointed. The bathroom was clean. It's an old building so you can't expect an absolutely new look. We loved our time there. We felt bad the weather wasn't good enough to go out and enjoy the lovely patio.
