Condo, Studio, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Miz Kitty’s Retreat is located at Villas by the Sea on the north end of Jekyll Island and is a wonderfully decorated 1 bedroom ground floor studio (all in one) condo offering a large spacious bedroom with sitting/living area and full dine-in kitchen area. Our building is the second building back from the ocean and only a short walk to the beach and boardwalk.

Jekyll Island is a state park and the island is limited to only 35% development. If you are looking for an over-developed, highly commercialized island, this is not for you. Jekyll is for peaceful walks on the beach, nature viewing, bicycle trails around the entire island, three 18-hole golf courses, one 9-hole course, 13 fast-dry clay tennis courts, Summer Waves Waterpark (seasonal), horseback riding and many other low-key activities and amenities.

Parker-Kaufman Realtors manages our unit and they are located in the Jekyll Shopping Center. All emails, phone calls and reservations are made directly through their office - please see the toll free number below.

During the in-season, we rent on a weekly basis from Saturday to Saturday. During off-season times, we can be more flexible for shorter or extended stays. We also offer 3, 4 & 5 night stays for last minute reservations. Please contact us for short stay rates. A 50% deposit is required for all stays and your balance is due upon arrival. Tax is 11% and there is a one-time $15.00 processing fee. Trip interruption insurance is available.

I rented this charming ground level villa for a week and it is perfect for a single person or couple. I loved the beach/nautical theme and colors. I enjoyed having my own kitchen to make casual meals & snacks. The little patio outside looked out at the trees and was a great place to enjoy morning coffee. Although not beachfront, the beach is just a short walk away. The Villas by the Sea is a nice property very close to Driftwood Beach, which is beautiful. I also highly recommend the Driftwood Bistro for dinner, which is located on the property. Miz Kitty's Retreat is a delightful and affordable alternative to a hotel, and I would definitely stay there again.
Recommended for:  Sightseeing, Romantic Getaway
