Only an hour west of Panama city, located just off of the intra American Hi Way in the town of Gorgona, this location is second to none. Only 500M to the beach, this is a peaceful luxury home. The complex consists of 8 lofted townhouses (we own 2 of them) and is situated in a charming community surrounded by small gardens and beautiful vegetation. Guests have full access to a shared social area with BBQs and lounge area, including a lovely swimming pool. The home is perfect for North Americans as there are all the comforts of home in a Latin setting. You are a short walk to the beach and the Gorgona Cooperative fish market where you can buy fresh seafood daily. You can easily take many day trips to the Panama Canal, go golfing, zip lining, take beach walks, surf, or drive to the mountain village of El Valle to relax in a spa (25 min drive). You will be staying in the area known as the GOLD COAST, this area has some of the lowest rain fall in all of Panama and is very popular. There are many amenities close by, including TWO 24 hour grocery stores, restaurants, shopping, & a medical clinic.

Our custom built lofts were designed specifically for the short/long term renters just like you. There are very few homes in the area that are designed so well. We have stayed in many VRBO and Homeaway homes across Europe, Central America, Canada and the USA. Each stay gives us the inspiration to make sure that our home in Panama is what we would like to have while away from home. We offer a full welcome binder in each of our homes with area attractions; restaurant suggestions, contact numbers for tours, AND we offer a local Panama cellular to use so you have your own local number. We have High Speed Wireless internet and cable TV, as well as in I-pod dock.

Just off the intra American hwy approx 3 miles towards the ocean. Just 500M to the beach. Gorgona is 5 miles from Coronado and approx 60 miles east of Panama City on the Pacific Ocean. It's less than 30 mins to El Valle de Anton and in the Arco de Seco ( dry arc) It is near Chame and Punta Barco. The resort Playa Blanca and Decameron are approx 40K further from the city than our home. It is a short walk to the beach , the beach has no amenities , so you need to bring your own chair, umbrella etc . We are minutes by car from several restaraunts and bars.There are 2 full serve grocery stores nearby as well as McDonalds and other quick places to stop for a snack

Other Activities: Relaxing - Surfing - Bird Watching- Day Trips to El Valle- Walk to the local fish co-op on the beach- dip in our pool

Golf: Three Golf Courses- Coronado,Vista Mar and Tucan Golf and Country club are a short drive away

Notes: it's a short 500m walk to a beautiful beach. The loft was recently built in 2009 and was custom designed for the north American/European client in mind. There is in suite laundry , dishwasher, granite island with bar stools, a formal dining room for 6, 2 full baths with tubs. Flat Screen TV's ipod docking station. The 16 ft glass wall is tinted for daytime privacy and UV protection.

Great "secret" location

We were looking for a quite place near the beach with all the North American amenities. We found them here. Panama living with all the "creature comforts" of home. We can't believe how much Gorgona and Corando have grown since our last visit, yet here in this little retreat it is still so quiet. Although he does not speak any English, the grounds keeper Edieberto is most accomodating. We liked that the condo is equipt with beach chairs, a cooler and ice packs to take to the beach. The full size fridge which is not common in Panama and ice maker are a nice bonus.

There are all kinds of great restuarants in the area, buying fish on the beach from the fisherman's co-op, sunshine and warm weather, what more could you ask for? At the Rey grocery store, beer is only 40 cents.

Thanks for the great way you keep your place, we will return.

We had a great time in Panama. The house met our every need and it was in a great location if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city yet close enough if you want to go in for the day. We took the air conditioned bus to the city...cheap and hassle free. A close walk to a couple of great beaches. It was fun to go down to the ocean to buy fresh fish from the local fishermen and watch the surfers. We took many day trips from here, including zip lining in El Valle de Anton and exploring the mountains up in Altos del Maria. The house is stocked with everything you possibly need from a great kitchen set up to nice towels and linens. The grounds were well maintained and we felt safe in the gated complex. We didn't spend much time inside but it was nice to have cable tv and working wireless internet. The local property manager is very helpful and nice and the Canadian owners very honest about what to expect. Great place.Thanks, we will be back!
