Perfect spot in the best town on Maui!

After booking tickets to Maui on a whim, I started doing some research as it would be my first trip to the islands. I was looking for a real Hawaiian experience. I wanted to avoid the resorts and condos. It didn't take long to realize I would be staying in Paia.
It was the best choice! And the apartment was perfect! The property is exactly as depicted and described. If you are looking for a "local", down to earth experience, this is it!
Situated literally in the heart of Paia, steps from the two main streets, coffee, restaurants, the shoreline and the most amazing health food groceries market right through the back gate! This was very important for me as my son and I both have different food intolerances. We were able to eat fresh daily for less than $40 a day!
The room rate was very affordable, and fair for the offering, the people are amazing and the property manager was very knowledgable, and friendly.
The other comments are accurate, but for us it was perfect. We will stay here every time we go back, which will hopefully be soon and frequently!

My husband and I just got back from Maui, where we stayed in the one bedroom unit for five nights. It was perfect for us - spacious, clean, and very convenient. We were able to walk to dinner, the grocery store, and the beach, which was important for us as we did not have a car for part of the time we were there.

Ilse, the manager, was very accommodating and professional.

Overall, it's an incredible value and we will not only recommend it to friends, but will definitely stay here again.

Good place to land!

Stayed for six weeks. Enjoyed every bit of it.
Can recommend the location, the house, the people in general, and the manager in particular. The house was clean and well maintained; enjoyed the backyard patio where I often took my breakfast and dinner. Both the owner and the manager were quick to answer my questions and provide assistance through the length of my stay. Sorry to have to leave...look forward to next time!

My wife and I have stayed here twice. It fits our budget and needs to have the town and ocean close. Dont come expecting Wailea or Kaanapali type accomodations or atmosphere, this is a cozy (but self-service) home with easy access to the town and sites like Hana Hwy and Haleakala. If you can clean up after yourself and enjoy walking and swimming, this is the place.

I stayed in the studio apartment (attached to the main house). The manager Ilse was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place.
