About The Owner

I was drawn to Maui many, many years ago when I lived in SF, with a dream of living there someday. I moved the other way to Ohio, met my husband over 25 years ago and of course had to bring him to my dream destination. Now he too loves the islands especially Maui. We visit at least once a year and more if time allows.

The Owner purchased this townhome in 1999

Why The Owner chose Kahana

The first time I brought my husband to Maui we stayed not too far away in Napilli, we both loved it there. When I went back a few years later I had a realtor take me around to a few available properties. This was the 3rd one I looked at and new instantly it was 'the one'! It was light and airy, a fantastic view (the one in Napilli didn't have a view at all), spacious as small house, tropical, excellent location. Everything I was looking for. I called my husband and said I found it! He was quite happy 2 months later when we walked in for the first time as owners!

My husband, along with another couple, and I rented this lovely condo for 8 days. The views were exquisite and we were fortunate enough to watch whales perform right from the lanai EVERY day even during showers and were lulled to sleep nightly by the ocean waves. We loved having a fully outfitted kitchen to make breakfast and prepare picnic lunches. This condo is close to restaurants, roads to access excursions (Road to Hana, volcano, Lahaina Town, etc.). Cathy was VERY responsive to our questions and concerns before and during our visit. We will definitely return!

Serenity and Memories

We just concluded a 10 day stay and our heart and soul are filled with the Aloha spirit. The apartment was a perfect fit for our family (4 adults and 2 kids). We enjoyed meals and chatting with local residents and fellow visitors at the pool. Listening to the waves crashing at night and spotting whales during the day. The proximity to beaches and outings was perfect. Mahalo for sharing your condo.

Way too short of a stay!

We spent a week in this condo and had an excellent time. Fantastic view, quiet building, clean and organized... Overall a wonderful experience! We had a maintenance issue and the on site maintenance people were there the same day to fix it. No complaints other than one week was not nearly enough!

Great Location and what a view!

You can tell this is an owner owned unit by how organized and clean it is and everything you would need. We stayed for 2 weeks and loved it. It's on the 5th floor which gives you a million dollar view from your personal lanai morning coffee, afternoon drinks its great very quiet and private, no A/C no problem always a great breeze lots of windows and fans in every room if needed. great pool, barbeque area which you can see from your unit it even has a basketball court! close to everything food, rental and beach across the street. Kapalua bay for snorkeling then Merrimans next door for happy hour a must. book your excursions online before you come its much cheaper. will do again but only longer thank you.

Outstanding Accommodations

We had a 1-week stay in this very spacious and clean condo. It is obvious the owners take pride in their condo and make sure everything is in working order. Fantastic view of the ocean and many, many whales this time of year. You do not need A/C as there always seemed to be a breeze and there were many windows and the sliding door to the lanai to open. Beautiful sunsets. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was a plus. The condo is stocked with all kitchen appliances, dishes, pans, and silverware. There was even plastic utensils in the cupboard. The condo was clean and well-maintained. A closet had many useful items that you did not have to purchase upon arrival – boogie boards, beach chairs, coolers, books to read, games. The pool was nice and not crowded when we were there. The landscaping around the building is beautiful. The building has an elevator and a trash shoot so you don’t have to carry it down to the first floor. Recycling was on the first floor. The lanai has a round glass top table and 6 comfortable chairs.

It is in a great location as it is easy access to other parts of the island. Favorites were the Halaekala National Park and the Ioa Valley. Public beach access is across the street. Waves were too high for snorkeling. We did see a Hawaiian Monk Seal resting on the beach. If you plan to attend the Old Lahaina Luau be sure to make reservations before arrival. There was a free Hula Show at Cannery Mall and it was enjoyable, children participated also. Costco is the place to go for Maui Gold Pineapple – wonderfully sweet and cheap ($2.99). Check on-line for discount coupons, etc. before leaving home as there are savings to restaurants, shows, tours, etc. LuLu’s is a good place for breakfast, especially Stuffed French Toast with coconut syrup. For dinner they offer 25% off between 5:00 and 6:00 p.m.

We had a two week stay here in Aug 2013, and enjoyed it so much. The unit is in a very central location. It's located across the street from a beach or within 5 minute drive north or south to several other beaches.

No A/C unit, but not a factor. Keep all windows open and you have a nice cool breeze to keep the unit cool. The pool Area was nice and quiet and well lit at night. The owner was easy to deal with and quite accommodating with booking and special requests. Also, offices are downstairs and they are a great support for you when there. We are a family with two teenagers and we had plenty of space in the unit. The "beach extras" in the closet are a bonus, as you don't have to worry about buying chairs, coolers or umbrellas. Within walking distance to grocery shopping, market, gas station, beach and restaurants. Although we had a car, i noticed there is a bus that runs up and down the Main Street on a regular basis. We would walk up to the market on Mon, Wed, and Fri to pick up some fresh local fruit. The grocery store is just a bit further up and reasonably priced for Maui. Plenty of free parking close to unit. the view from the balcony is absolutely amazing, especially at sunset. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and would definitely recommend. FYI: I received my deposit back from owner within days of getting home! Mahalo.

Our property is located between Kapalua and Kaanapali. With numberous golf courses, Zipline, Sugarcane Train, Horseback riding, snorkeling at Honalua Bay, wonderful beaches, farmers market, scooter rentals. 10 Minutes to Lahaina with some of the best restaurants and shopping. Highly recommend the zipline and the snorkeling. Dollies pub (some of the best pizza around), Honokawai Okazuya Deli (local favorite and ours too).
