My husband and two young sons just returned from a weeklong stay in this unit. It exceeded our expectations!
The unit was sparkling clean upon our arrival. There was a new roll of paper towels, two rolls of toilet paper, a couple of dishwashing detergent tablets for the dishwasher, dishwashing soap, a couple of bars of soap, fresh towels and washcloths for all four of us, and fresh linens.
We knew going into the trip that this one-bedroom unit would be small for a family of four. The unit is decorated beautifully and furnished to scale, so we never felt cramped at all. We especially appreciated the covered balcony with a ceiling fan and gorgeous ocean views.
This unit also provides two bikes with baskets, two beach chairs and a beach umbrella. We brought our own beach chairs, and had to rent a beach bike with a child seat for our toddler, but we used the umbrella and woman's bike throughout our stay.
The grounds at Sea Side Villas are meticulously maintained as well. Each day of our stay there was a crew blowing sand and tree debris from the walkways, sweeping the hallways and cleaning and testing the pool water.
The pool at this building is great as well. It's nestled inside the buildings, but the landscaping around the pool -- particularly the palm trees -- makes the pool feel like an escape in itself. The pool was never busy during our stay either.
There are charcoal grills right off the boardwalk to the beach that we used during our stay as well.
The beach here is clean and stunning. We were also excited to see that there are lifeguards stationed along the beach. There were people on the beach, but it was never crowded. We could easily find a place to set up our chairs right off the boardwalk.
Finally, the location and price of this unit is outstanding. We had wonderful beach views, and could easily ride our bikes to the Coligny Plaza. In fact, we only hopped in the car twice during our entire week here -- to get groceries and to check out the Lighthouse.
We've stayed in Holden Beach, NC, Ocean Isle Beach. NC, and Myrtle Beach, SC, but this was by far our favorite beach and island in the Carolinas so far. And this unit was the nicest AND least expensive condo in which we've stayed.
This unit specifically made the trip. The owners were wonderful to deal with and all of the photos and information provided were completely accurate. We would 100% recommend this unit to anyone looking for a beach getaway in the Carolinas.
