Nestled on quiet, kid-friendly lot with views of crystal clear 188 acre lake; gorgeous beach just 5 min. walk (beach cart available) or 30 sec. drive; another large beach and water access all around lake (combustion engines not allowed on lake - nice and quiet, ideal for kayaking, swimming and fishing). Within 5-10 min. drive: groc., movies, fuel, ice cream, restaurants, etc. - guest info and local recommendations at house, along with 2 kayaks and 2 bicycles for your use. The Airline Trail rail-trail is nearby - a level stone dust path through gorgeous New England scenery, ideal for biking, walking and photography. A 20-min. drive gets you to Glastonbury for outstanding dining and shopping; 30 min. to Hartford museums & restaurants or to CT's 3 Casinos, with all their attractions and restaurants. Mystic is about 45 min., with its Maritime Museum, Aquarium, restaurants, shops. New York - 2 hours; Boston - 1.5 hours. Centrally located for colleges and universities throughout eastern and central Connecticut. Great base for exploring New England during longer stays!

Golf: The closest golf is Chanticlair (Colchester, CT municipal course), a nice little country course - about 5 minutes from the cottage; next door to Chanticlair is a driving range. There are many other private courses within a short drive of the cottage.
