Just 13 minutes north of Taos, this spacious 1200 sq foot adobe home on 3 acres above Arroyo Hondo was designed with guests in mind. Hand-hewn vigas span the 10 foot high ceilings and walls are thickly plastered to a diamond finish throughout the casita to provide that Northern New Mexico charm. The casita is complete with original art; etchings, watercolors, woodcarving and weavings unique to Los Cuervos Perca.
The living room is furnished with comfortable leather upholstered furniture that provides uncompromising views of the mountains, mesa and gorge areas. A woodstove, with firewood provided, takes the chill off evenings and adds to the ambiance.
A HDTV, blue-ray DVD player and a video library with such 'must see's' as Milagro Beanfield Wars is provided for your viewing pleasure. If you want to get 'wired', connect to our WiFi and bring your music to hook in to the stereo for your listening pleasure.
Bedrooms are uniquely appointed with queen sized pillow top beds and a down comforter to make for a quiet, restful, unparalleled sleep experience. Each bedroom has full sized closets and night stands with lights allowing you to cozy up to that book.
Custom tiling in the full kitchen and bathrooms add to the southwest ambience of the casita. Each bathroom has custom tiled showers and copper sinks are set in tiled countertops with custom tin crafted mirrors.
Enjoy the outdoors with a hike to the nearby gorge area and take photos of petroglyphs on the rock ledges. Drive to John Dunn bridge and flyfish in the Rio Hondo or fish and swim in the Rio Grande. Enjoy your evening gazing at the stars from the patio and listening to the coyotes.
In the mornings you may see hot air balloons rising to the west and drifting down the gorge as you have your cuppa while listening to the raucous play of soaring ravens.
