Jetliner views of the city and Hollywood sign make for a magical romantic getaway in this historic Spanish villa once owned by actor Eddie Albert. Minutes away from the action in Hollywood yet completely secluded in this private setting that boasts over 29,000 square feet of wooded hillside with many patios where sightings of deer and hummingbirds are common. Minutes from heart of Hollywood, Sunset Strip, Universal Studios, and Warner Brothers. This house features all original hardwood floors, Talavera tiles, wooden beamed ceiling, French doors and windows and a large Spanish tiled terrace where you can eat alfresco under the sun or the stars. This 1930s light-filled house includes a large Sony flat screen HDTV, wood burning fireplace, new central A.C./heat, a full kitchen/breakfast area with new stainless steel appliances, dining room, both master and 2nd. bedroom have queen size mattresses. High speed WI-FI and a laundry room equipped with washer & dryer & additional shower.

You're surrounded by trees including the bamboo outside the window. Close to shopping, dining, fitness gym, world class museums and entertainment. Why the Owner Chose Hollywood: We fell in love with the Hollywood Hills back in the mid 90s and decided to buy an old Hollywood Home built in the 1930s this year. It's a magical place with stunning views, including the Hollywood sign and it's like our own private retreat with a small bamboo forest outside our bedroom window. We both have always loved old Spanish style houses and this one exudes charm.

Excellent house and location

We were recently visiting colleges in the LA area and decided that instead of the hotel, we should stay in the house. I have spent a lot of time researching different properties online and finally decided to go with this one. It was a good choice. The location was good with the close access to different highways. The house itself is very comfortable, we were traveling with two kids, and has all you need to feel at home. You have everything needed to prepare your own meals (the supermarket was about ten minutes away with the car) and then enjoy the meal with the terrific view at the terrace. I just regret not having more time to talk with the owner, she was very nice. The house has a fast wireless internet. This is something I hate paying extra when you stay in the hotels in the same area.

Just as advertised - million dollar views!

This property cannot be beat for price, location, convenience, and the views! It's like having a villa all to yourself with amazing views of the Valley. The pictures don't do it any justice as the place is even lovelier in person. It is cozy, quaint and did I mention the views???

We highly recommend this place. The owners are wonderful and took really good care of us. The booking process was easy and well, let me just say, there were good views :-)

If you love a house with character and personality, this property is the perfect spot. Nestled in the quiet privacy of the hills while providing easy access to the attractions of the city, it is the ideal location to enjoy the best of what both worlds have to offer. The captivating view was simply mesmerizing and we never tired of it. The home itself was delightfully fun, immaculate, comfortable and perfectly appointed with every necessity. Everything we could have needed or wanted was available to us. Debbie and Rick were amazing hosts and it was clear that they had paid great attention to every detail and have worked hard to create an enchanting experience. We couldn't have enjoyed our stay more at this beautiful home and we can't wait to return!

Well beyond our expectations.....

I cannot begin to express how pleased we were with Casa Colinas. This was my first vacation rental experience and I could not have been more satisifed with the process and the house itself. The house location was just perfect - high enough in the hills to offer spectacular views, yet a short enough drive to major roads and freeways. The house was so warm and welcoming, and was extremely well maintained. The kitchen was well stocked and there was an abundance of extra bedding available. After the second day, I felt like it was my own home - it is that great!

Debbie was so great and accomodating, from the initial call when we booked the property and all throughout our stay (thanks again to Rick for getting the closed caption setup on the tv).

Anyone looking for a place to stay in LA, must pick Casa Colinas - you won't be disappointed!

Perfectly Charming!

My daughter and I stayed at Casa Colinas for a week and loved it! The home is a perfect blend of coziness, charm and sophistication. The breathtaking view spans from Universal City to the Hollywood sign. The property was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. The owners were wonderful--friendly and helpful. We've already booked our next trip back!
