MOUNTAIN VIEW LODGE - NEW, 5-STAR RATED LOG HOME, 7 MI TO THE PARK!

We (2 couples) recently returned from a wonderful week's stay at Mountain View Lodge. The photos accurately depict the Lodge..it was supremely clean and comfortable with gorgeous views from the front windows. The decor is attractive, the beds VERY comfortable...I can't think of a thing I would have changed.
We spent every day in Yellowstone National Park (a short 5-10 minute drive to the entrance) and returned happily at night to our "home away from home". It was such a treat to sit out on the front deck and gaze at the beautiful Montana landscape & the stars that are so much brighter than back home on the East Coast! Restaurants in West Yellowstone are a short drive away, as are supermarkets etc. (The kitchen is very well appointed if you want to cook as well.)
This is a beautiful part of the country. We had gorgeous weather with high's in the 70's and sunny every day. The owner of the property was easy to reach if we had questions on how to operate anything
in the cabin.
This was one of our best vacations, I would most definitely recommend this property to family and friends (in fact I already have!). We hope to go back someday...we miss the lovely view!

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for as a base camp for our first trip to Yellowstone. It is one of the most well appointed rental we have had and it was convenient to West Yellowstone without being in the middle of the crowds. Kevin was extremely attentive when we had a question and had plenty of recommendations for us that weren't in a brochure. We had 5 people in our party and everyone had plenty of room to spread out and my son used the front porch to write each evening. The kitchen was loaded with nice dishes and utensils, which is rare in a rental. West Yellowstone is a fun town with the easiest access to the park. The Playmill is a fun evening to see a show and the rodeo is well worth an evening. I couldn't recommend this cabin more for a family and we could have had another family there and still not felt like we were on top of each other. Not that anyone wants to do laundry on a vacation, but we took advantage of the full sized washer and dryer and that made unpacking so much easier when we got home.

We had 3 generations of our family stay at the house and had a great time. The kids loved the bunkbeds, my 90-year old mother who has gotten very used to 5-star hotels thought it was great and my wife and I agreed with that assessment. Easy access to the park and to the town, but very quiet at night away from the hectic nature of the town. We would come back in a minute.
