We were pleasantly surprised to find a newly constructed cabin on a perfectly secluded site. Could not have asked for accommodations more immaculate. Little Dove was so well stocked with anything and everything that there was little want for anything. Billy and Beth were there at our every beckoning call. Yet yielded to our privacy for the most perfect birthday celebration ever. ..our own little private island! The must see sites that Beth recommended surely helped make the best use of our too short stay. The Country Music Hall of Fame was one to remember. Oh...and the drug store sure brought back fond memories. Not to mention Longhollow and Sumner Crest Wineries. Of all the cottages we have stayed at Little Dove is the best. Not only would we recommend this cozy cottage to others we cannot wait to visit again...soon. We wish happy stays to all.
This is by far one of the BEST vacation rentals we have ever stayed in. It is Spotless and set up so Adorable! It makes you feel like you are visiting a close relative. The owners Billy and Beth were So Kind and helpful. The cabin home is furnished with all the things you need to make your stay cozy and memorable. I highly recommend visiting in the Fall, the trees are Amazing with color. Look no further if you are staying in the Nashville Area. This was the BEST rental we had our entire trip across country from Colorado to Savannah. The Grocery store is close and there is a cozy little barbecue joint that is quite tasty. Thanks Again Billy and Beth… We will be back! :)
We flew to Nashville from Anchorage, AK for my son's wedding and wanted to stay somewhere outside the city but close to everything. This beautiful farm is the perfect place to relax and see the country. From turkeys roaming in the front yard to swings by the catfish pond it was a beautiful step back in time. The cabin was immaculate and included all the comforts of home. Billy and Beth go above and beyond what anyone would expect from a host and hostess. They were even kind enough to give me some fresh okra which brought back fond memories of my mom frying this up for dinner. We had cookouts on the barbecue, hiked the lovely trails and sat outside rocking on the beautiful front porch. This little gem is only about 35 minutes from the heart of Nashville and we went into town to enjoy choice restaurants like Husk which has an outstanding menu. I highly recommend this home and assure you of an enjoyable stay.
The property enabled our family from 5 different states to reunite in a place that felt like the farm our grandparents owned. Dove Cottage and the surrounding grounds is beautiful. If you are visiting Nashville, this is a wonderful place to stay.
the cottage was clean and everything we needed after a busy week, it was in a good location for exploring nashville. , the owners were very helpful with local advice and we would certainly recommend to friends , thank you
We were looking for a well equipped cabin in a safe, quiet location while our son attended Camp Electric in Nashville and found the Dove Cottage in Cottontown to be perfect! We enjoyed the privacy and natural surroundings; the sights and sounds of wild life...we saw wild turkeys (with babies), deer, raccoons and even had a humming bird hover right in front of us on the front porch one morning. Enjoyed the hiking trails on site, played a game of crochet and visiting near by small towns of White House and Cross Plains per Billy's recommendation. During our stay we caught a Grand Ole Opry show, visited the Gaylord Resort, taking the informational boat ride and catching one of choreographed colored water fountain shows, explored Shelby park in Nashville and played some disc golf there (corner of 17th and Sevier streets), walked asphalted wooded trail at park in White House & ate at Hollywood Grill & Fun Center there, explored Cross Plains and had milkshakes at the old fashioned drug store there, saw a play at Springfield High by the Robertson County Players, and misc. shopping and dining around Nashville. We elected to sleep in the loft which was quite comfortable. Just a real relaxing time away that was sorely needed. Billy was great for any needs we had during the stay. One note: the cottage does not have a dishwasher as noted on Homeaway.com. And it would be nice to get a remote for the DVD player. I highly recommend this cottage though and would surely stay here again. :-))
