Wonderful walks and bike paths without getting in the car.
New Rendezvous Park is a short walk away. 40 acres of trails, water, fishing, kayaking all next to the beautiful Snake River.
Must love animals! Our new second story cabin stands alone with friendly horses, ducks and chickens all roaming the 3 acre property. We even have a miniature mule 'Mini-me' who is everyone's favorite! The cabin was completed June of 2011 and we are continually making small improvements!
This new construction, the second level over our storage barn/ shop, will be available to guests when not being used by our family and friends. 30- day stays are most appropriate for this part of Jackson Hole and give our guests the chance to explore everything this incredible part of the Rockies offers. Invite the family and friends to join you for part of your stay. The cabin is well-stocked with books including a huge library. CD's, games and, toys for every age group. The library has an incredible selection of titles about wildlife, our national parks, Jackson Hole, travel in the west, western history, cowboys, Native Americans and cowgirls!
Guesthouses in JH are limited to 1000sf, and we have made good use of every bit of ours! The stairs and oversized deck to the cabin lie on the north side, or pond side of the cabin, facing the incredible Grand Tetons. Enter into the great room with kitchen, dining and living areas, hickory wood floors and knotty alder ceilings. The kitchen window also faces north towards the Tetons so washing dishes will never be a chore!
The kitchen is fully stocked with granite tile counters, side by side refrigerator, microwave and a butcher block island. The dishwasher and cook top / convection self-cleaning oven are all brand new. Flat screen TV and electric fireplace complete the cozy sitting area.
The master and guest bedrooms are on the south side of the cabin, with southern exposed windows facing our large horse barn and pasture, as well as the mountain ranges beyond. The master has a king-sized bed and attached full bath. The bath also has great natural southern light and a jetted tub with shower. The guest room has a log bunk bed with XL twin over a queen bed. In the great room a twin daybed with lots of pillows will serve as a cozy place to read a good book or an additional bed. The guest bath with shower is conveniently located off the great room, for use by guests in the guest bedroom or the living room. Both bathrooms are beautifully tiled with in-floor heating!
Come and make this adorable cabin your home away from home. Relax on the deck or by the pond, or use it as your hub to explore our wonderful valley and national parks. Located in Wilson, off the Teton Village Road, Grand Teton National Park and the ski area are about 6 miles away, Yellowstone about 50 miles north with endless, undeveloped open space and abundant wildlife in between. Hike, bike snowshoe or cross-country ski on our nearby pathways or Snake River dike, or on creek-filled forest trails just 2 miles away.

I am a retired dentist who fled the bustle of California for Wyoming. I am fortunate to have 3 wonderful acres in a marvelous location here that Dan and I have turned into a 'petting zoo'. My horses are pastured adjacent to the cabin with a large red barn to the south view. We have made many improvements including a trout pond with pet ducks, free roaming chickens with fresh eggs and even a miniature mule as a mascot. I love Jackson Hole. We can relax by the pond with Teton Views and moose wondering our quiet country road or spend the day hiking and wildlife viewing. We have created this western style guest cabin for our friends as well as the occasional visitor.
Dan Skeie, Manager purchased this cabin in 2000
I love the mountains and spent many years visiting our Tahoe cabin from the Bay Area. As much as I love Tahoe, Jackson is completely unique and very special. I am fortunate to also have a large ski home a few miles away at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort. Both homes are available for guests.
Abundant wildlife and interaction with our domestic ranch inhabitants. Opportunity to bring your own horses is definitely a possibility as well! Our ranch is a wonderful place to share with family and friends.
Deb and Dan
Thank you for sharing the "Cowboy Cabin" with us. It was so comfortable that we felt we were coming home each night after exploring your beautiful state! It was our first time here and I know why you live here. We are sure to be back!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cowboy Cabin, only 10 minutes from Jackson Hole and a short drive via the very scenic Moose/Wilson road to Grand Teton park entrance. The Moose/Wilson road is also a prime location to spot moose, elk, owls, and other wildlife. The cabin is well appointed-gorgeous kitchen with everything you need, granite countertops. Two bedrooms with very comfortable beds, master has a gorgeous tile bathroom. Views of the Tetons are amazing, as well as the view of the horses on the ranch. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the kayak and paddleboat on our own private pond in the backyard as well as the horses, chickens, cat, ducks, and dogs. There are wonderful bike paths from the house with gorgeous scenery to take in while you ride. Dan and Debbie were very attentive to our needs during our stay and gave us helpful suggestions about things to do in the area. This area is a perfect place to stay, close to so many things. The house was well equipped with many books/guides on Teton and Yellowstone, as well as a wide variety of DVD's and movies suitable for all ages. Our kids would have been content to stay at the house the entire time and not venture out/sight-see at all! We look forward to staying here again someday!
Cowboy Cabin was Part Two of our wonderful trip to Yellowstone and Tetons. We loved the pictures of the cabin as soon as we saw them on VRBO, but the pictures do no justice - the cabin is fabulous! We loved that the cabin sits over a barn/workshop and to the back of the property. Everyone enjoyed the views from the cabin's deck of the pond and beyond to the Tetons and Teton Village.
The cabin itself leaves nothing to be desired, especially for four people - but was still very comfortable for our family of six adults. Great accommodations and features throughout. We did cook often and were very pleased to have everything we needed to prepare some great meals.
Also very nice was that the owners were there for much of our stay, so questions were answered readily. We loved meeting both of the very wonderful owners.
Wilson is a great location - near to all that the Tetons offer and Jackson close by for shopping and dining.
GREAT STAY - LOVED IT!!!
This was the second year my husband and I stayed at the cabin, and when we arrived we felt like we had returned to our Jackson Hole home. Dan and Debbie made us feel welcomed back as friends, provided for every need, answered every question.
Once again, we were cozy and comfortable in this well-furnished (description is accurate) and unusually well-supplied property.
Enjoying the view, morning coffee, or afternoon drinks on the deck will be one among many fond memories. As will the animals - they just made us smile. Especially Mini and Sam!
I can say we definitely hope to return, and would recommend this property to anyone looking to enjoy the valley and the mountains from a unique setting that truly emphasizes and adds to the beauty of the experience.
Thank you Debbie and Dan!
My husband and I stayed 4 weeks in Aug-Sept and had several visitors, intermittently. We felt every need was met, above and beyond. From the deck view over the pond and out to the mountains, to the cozy and extremely pleasing interior, to the hospitality and fun with the animals. (My favorite was Mini, the mini mule who is a sweetheart.) Cabin is well appointed and stocked.
Debbie and Dan were ever ready to anticipate needs, with valuable advice on activities and the area, and offered their hospitality at every turn. It was an extra treat to have them as "our neighbors", and then friends, on the property. We have been visitors to the valley for 29 years now, and this was one of our best years ever, thanks to them.
