Jordaan Apartment Rental Photos and Description
Apartment, 1 Bedroom, 1.5 Baths, (Sleeps 2)
Lovely apartment located along the Prinsengracht canal in the famous Jordaan in downtown Amsterdam. In walking distance of everything Amsterdam has to offer!
The apartment is very light and has a great view on the canal and historic canal houses.
The bedroom is amazingly quiet and completely dark at night.
The bathroom has a bath tub for you to relax after having explored town. Or have a drink on the balcony!
The apartment is right where you want to be: the popular 9 streets across from the canal are the most delightful boutique shopping area. A short walk via picturesque streets takes you to the Dam square, Leidseplein, museums and the farmers market. The health food store, bakery, chocolatier, pastry shops and Thai, Turkish, Japanse and Indonesian restaurants all are to be found within 300 feet from the house.
Public transport is nearby. Trams 13 and 17 at the Westerkerk / Anne Frank house take you to the central station (10 min tram ride). Bus 197 at the end of the street takes you to the airport (only half an hour).

About The Owner
Since I moved to Amsterdam in 1995 I have lived in most neigbourhoods. After having stayed in the Jordaan I knew that was the right place for me to call home. Soon afterwards I was lucky to find my home, the apartment that is available for you.
For a living I work in Amsterdam as a massage therapist. Several weeks a year I am in France and I have been spending the summers in the USA.
I like others to enjoy my lovely apartment when I am away. It is too pretty to sit empty and so well situated to experience Amsterdam.

Why The Owner chose Jordaan
The apartment has a perfect balance between privacy upstairs, and life in the streets.
The light coming in the living room windows plus the trees and Prinsengracht canal in front of the house make me feel connected to nature whilst being downtown in the Jordaan.
The Elandsgracht was a canal until 1891. This means the now street is wider than the average Amsterdam street, giving the living room a spacious feel.
