The valley is awash with lakes & ponds and at the top of the list is Harriman Reservoir/Lake Whitingham. It provides hours of relaxing fun for swimmers, boaters, fisherman and divers alike. Molly Stark State Park offers access to several area trails including the well-known Mount Olga Trail which offers panoramic views from an old fire tower. The park has open lawn areas, woods, and Mt Olga rising to the east. There is a play area and a picnic pavilion. A hiking trail starts from the park and goes up to the Mt Olga fire tower.Nearly anything you can think of is nearby, or you can just relax by the Chimney Hill Clubhouse pools, saunas or hot tubs. Perhaps you would enjoy playing tennis, basketball or horseshoes at one of the many courts throughout Chimney Hill.

Golf: Haystack Golf Club has been ranked as one of only three 4-star golf courses in VT. This honor was given because of their course layout, condition, staff & facilities and golfer feedback. Haystack is in the top 30 in all of New England! Haystack’s opening hole will get your attention right away. A fairly simple, straight-away Par-4 plays much harder than it looks due to OB on the left and trees on the right. The smart play is a fairway wood or hybrid off the tee, leaving a short to mid-iron into the green. Be sure to allow for the sloping left-to-right fairway off the tee and you’ll be off to a good start.
Haystack Golf Club’s unique post and beam clubhouse features a bright and airy restaurant with two large screen TV’s and a pool table. And should you wish to enjoy the fresh Vermont air, they also offer outdoor dining on the deck overlooking the surrounding mountains.

Ski: Mount Snow features four mountain faces including the #1 ranked East Coast Terrain Park - Carinthia; snow tubing; ski school & snowboarding lessons. The mountain layout provides a unique “back-to-base” trail system that keeps the entire family together, run after run. And when everyone is ready for adventure there’s a lot of faces to see. Like Carinthia (the #1 East Coast Terrain Park Resort), Sunbrook (for wide open cruisers and one heck of a bump run) and the North Face, for the steeps. The wide-open super trails, like Canyon, Ridge and Snowdance provide plenty of room for the whole family including your big GS-turn son! Your kids will want to know about our parks and pipes where there’s run after run thrills and plenty of other kids to hang with. Tubing is a great fun activity the entire family can enjoy!
