We live in Massachusetts and love Cape Cod - particularly kayaking and admiring the natural wonders of this region. We like to spend as much time as we can at the cottage spring through fall but rent it to guests for a few weeks during the summer.
The Owner purchased this cottage in 2010
We fell in love with the area over 20 years ago and enjoy the beaches and the proximity of other area attractions. The cottage is private and rustic with knotty pine present throughout most of the cottage giving it that classic Cape Cod look. It is located directly across the street from the beach yet on a private dead-end road so there is practically no traffic. The views are great from the deck.
Walking the beach in the morning. Having lunch at the cottage and then spending the afternoon swimming and relaxing at the beach. We love birding on the deck that overlooks the Centerville River and salt marsh as you never know what species you'll see. We especially like to watch the many ospreys dive for fish in the river. Also, packing a picnic lunch and kayaking from the cottage to one of the nearby, uncrowded beaches is a great way to spend a day.
Your cottage was lovely and your hospitality was the best.
My wife and I loved the waterfowl on the river - you have more egrets, herons and osprey in that little area than we see in much larger areas here in salt marshes in Maine.
My sons came down from Boston and one of them kayaked the river with me - it was a great ride.
Again all the best and we would do it again.
