Adirondack Star Ridge is simply a Peace of Heaven. Located on 30 private & serene acres, it is adjacent to thousands of acres of pristine timberland. Neighbors are few and far between. You can expect peace & quiet with the sounds & smells of nature filling your senses.

You may choose to simply lounge on the 700 sq.' deck with a drink at hand and the bbq grilling away or hike a trail right from the side door to explore the forests beyond. The cottage has games, puzzles, wireless & satellite tv for those who prefer to stay indoors but may still avail the views through many windows & doors.

Hop in the car or on your bikes and travel a few miles to the Jay 'rapids' where you can soak, slide & cool off in the AuSable River. Visit the Jay Green, home to JEMS theatre and outdoor concerts and Summer festivals. Pop in to local artisans shops such as the Jay Studio (on the Green) & Youngs Gallery (just up Rt. 86) or grab an ice cream at Devins.

Adirondack Star Ridge is conveniently located to Whiteface Mt. (15 min.), Lake Placid (30 min.), Olympic Region, High Peaks, East & West branches of the AuSable River and within a short drive to Lake Champlain, Saranac Lake, Plattsburgh & Schroon Lake. Burlington, Vt., Montreal & Lake George are within 1.5 hours and make terrific day trips.

Close by are AuSable Chasm, Santa's Workshop at the North Pole, High Falls Gorge, Memorial Highway to the top of Whiteface Mt. & the gondola ride up the East face of Whiteface. There are trails for hiking, snowshoeing, mountain biking & nordic skiing and rivers to fish, swim, paddle & float upon.

Activities in the Adirondacks are virtually unlimited. Literally, 'the sky is the limit'! Come stay at Adirondack Star Ridge and explore all this and more yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Payment is usually accepted in the quoted currency () unless the currency and the amount is specifically agreed in advance with the owner / advertiser.

  • 2 nights: $300
    3 nights: $450
    4 nights: $600
    5 nights: $750
    6 nights: $900
    7 nights: $1000

    * Cleaning fee - $60
    * A small dog will be considered on a guest by guest basis and a pet fee of $50.00 will apply if approved. Please call to discuss your canine friend.
    * A refundable security/damage deposit is required on all rentals.
    * Two (2) night rentals require a $150.00 security/damage deposit. Rentals of three (3) or more nights require a $250.00 security/damage deposit.
    * Security/damage deposits are returned after the rental is cleaned, within 24/48 hours of departure.
  • Paypal is available for all who would like to pay using a credit card. No paypal membership is required. We will send you a secure link so you can finalize the transaction. Your security deposit will be refunded after check-out/inspection using the same method in reverse. There is a cleaning fee of $60. If you would like to bring your canine friend please give us a call to discuss. A pet fee would apply.

A wonderful place to stay! We enjoyed the solitude and quiet surroundings. Very comfortable bedrooms and we really enjoyed the steam shower which was great after out hike up to the top of Mt Ampersand (listed as moderate in the hiking guide, though I would call it strenuous - though the view at the top was well worth the effort. Lots to do, see, and eat with a great place to come "home" to at the end of your adventurous day! Mike and Mini were very gracious and quick to respond to requests and questions about local places to find what we were looking for. We would highly recommend this location and hope to come back some day.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Great Cottage near Lake Placid

We had a great time at Mini and Mike's get away cottage. They have thought of everything from the portable crib and highchair for our little one to the large (child proof) deck and huge well appointed kitchen. The cottage was spacious and felt like home. We would love to return for another relaxing trip to the woods.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

a mountain home away from home

This little mountain cottage was a wonderful escape for our family of 4. This spot is perfect for any season of travel. A lot of fun things to do. Lots of hiking and wonderful waterfalls and cliffs to see. Skiing, snow tubing (when there is snow of course) the Olympic Center is close, Burlington, Vermont is close which has an aquatic center for the kids, and Ben and Jerry's is also within a reasonable drive. there are local brewers, wineries and farms.

The cottage itself was very clean with everything you would need for a weekend trip or a week long trip. The owners, Mike and Mini, are wonderful caring people who are happy to help in any way, from figuring out what to see, figuring out what fun local activities for the kids, and finding local farms and markets.
Recommended for:  Adventure Seekers, Sightseeing, Families with Young Children
