With spectacular views from virtually every window of the surrounding vineyard and Okanagan Lake, our new cottage offers a haven for relaxation in a inspiring environment.

Designed with contemporary and elegant comforts to cater to your every need. A bright, spacious fully-equipped kitchen with new appliances, dining and living area and 1 1/2 bathrooms.

Additional features include hardwood floors, corian and granite counter-tops and air-conditioning. The covered deck (with BBQ) with its uninterrupted panoramic view is the ideal spot to enjoy a meal outdoors or linger with a glass of wine late into the evening.

Guests are welcome to stroll through the vineyard and your hosts are happy to provide information on the workings of a vineyard.

In season, we are happy to share extra fruit from our apricot, peach and plum trees when available.

We are located within walking distance to 3 wineries and 7 other local wineries are a short drive away. While private and secluded, it is only 4 kms. to downtown Summerland with its many cafes and fine dining restauants. And there are two golf courses and four local beaches to enjoy.

This is truly a home away from home in wine country!

About The Owner

My husband (Ed) and I moved to Summerland in 2000 to undertake a new semi-retirement career in viticulture. We purchased a 10 acre fruit orchard and through a labor of love completed the conversion to a vineyard installing new irrigation and planting 6,000 plus Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir vines. We work the vineyard ourselves and take great pride in producing the highest quality grapes. We are more than happy to share our vineyard experience to those visitors that have an interest. Our new cottage, completed the summer 2010, was designed in a contemporary and elegant style while taking advantage of the outstanding lake and valley views. Our vineyard setting is so special; we enjoy sharing it with others.

Why The Owner chose Summerland

We are in the heart of the Okanagan Valley Wine region. We bought the property because of the spectacular lake and valley views and climate wise being ideally suited to growing pinot varietals. We are also located conveniently to Kelowna (45 minute drive) and Penticton (10 minutes away). It is the ideal location to explore the best of the many Okanagan Valley attractions.

What makes this cottage unique

While the cottage is secluded and private, it is only 2 miles to downtown Summerland offering cafes and fine dining restaurants. It is walking distance to 3 wineries and a short drive to 7 other local wineries. Other nearby attractions includes golf, beaches, hiking, biking shopping and dining.

From our first contact with Ed and Linda to our reluctant departure, they were most kind and gracious hosts. The cottage is situated amongst the vines of their immaculately kept vineyard and Ed is so interesting and very happy to answer any questions about the vines and grapes. A perfect place for a couple, the cottage has extremely high quality fittings, decor and linens. We loved the complimentary water, wine and cheese plate on arrival.

Sitting on the raised back deck and enjoying the views of the lake and the many birds was our favourite activity. We spotted Marmot and Cayote on more than one occasion.

Previous Reviewers have given really useful information about local attractions, restaurants and wineries, we would add that Tinhorn Creek has a wonderful restaurant and is worth - a visit. But each day we were always keen to get back to the cottage - A beautiful place to spend a vacation, we highly recommend it .

We found the cottage to be exactly as described and the hosts (Ed and Linda) VERY accomodating, helpful and informative about everything from wineries, best local restaurants, food supplies and local markets to grape growing and harvest tidbits!
There isn't much I could add aside from what all other guests have mentioned other than you would not be disappointed with your hosts, location or accomodations in this delighful cottage in the vineyard!

The DiVine Cottage is charming - well appointed, meticulously cared for and a beautiful vacation spot. Everything was as posted on the VRBO site. Our queries were answered within 24 hours and additional information about the area and its attractions were shared by Linda and Ed. You could not ask for friendlier or more gracious hosts - always available to assist and to share their delicious peaches, plums and grapes.The vineyard was bursting with grape laden vines - harvest time was approaching so the valley was busy with other visitors and special events at the area's wineries. Summerland is a delightful town - interesting shops, eateries and many areas for walking along the lakeside. Do consider the Kettle Valley Railroad excursion, a visit to the Ornamental Gardens, and of course, visits to the many wineries in the area. Ed and Linda know so many people involved in the wine industry - your knowledge of the area will be broadened considerably. Definitely worth a visit - or maybe more!

My husband and I enjoyed a week long escape to the Okanagan and were fortunate enough to stay at Ed and Linda's cottage. The location is excellent and within walking distance of a number of wineries and easy driving distance to Summerland, Pentiction and the rest of the Okanagan Valley. The views are off the back covered deck are spectacular and made a fantastic accompaniment to leisurely morning breakfasts and most of our evening meals. The cottage itself if spotless, beautifully maintained, well appointed, quiet and private. Ed and Linda are happy to answer questions and provide a tour and explanation of the vineyard, but also respect your privacy. Listing photos are accurate and I would highly recommend the property to friends and family. We hope to return!

Great location, very clean and very well maintained cottage. Close to local services and sightseeing locations. Friendly owners who provided valuable information to ensure a great vacation. The wine was great and the Okanagan valley was just picture perfect. Very peaceful location, great for a relaxing vacation.
