We are just steps away from beautiful Dolores Park, Mission Dolores Church and many of the city’s best restaurants, bars and nightclubs.
Built in 1910, Mission Manor retains many original details, including fireplaces, pocket doors, vaulted ceilings and the original claw foot bathtub. Natural light dazzles throughout. With four bedrooms and a living room with a fold out bed that can be closed off to become a fifth bedroom, you’ll be pampered with 600-thread count sheets, down or down alternative pillows, and lofty comforters. Amenities in each room include: Wi-Fi Internet access, HD-TV, DVD player, a clock radio/CD player, and access to a DVD movie library. Also provided: 100% Turkish cotton towels, hairdryers, shampoo, conditioner, body wash and body lotion. A large capacity washer and dryer are also accessible during your stay.
The fully equipped eat-in kitchen seats eight. The kitchen is equipped with stainless steel dishwasher, fridge, Cuisinart toaster, coffee maker and blender, pots & pans, dishes. Our cupboards offer a selection of black, green and herbal teas as well as coffee. If you plan to cook, a full array of spices, plus oils, are supplied to help get you started.
Our walk score of 95 means that you can easily pick up your favorite treats, local organic produce, wine, cheese, and enticing take-out at the Bi-Rite gourmet grocery around the block. Safeway and a new Whole Foods are only a few blocks away.
Mission Manor is located in the epicenter of the Mission District's foodie paradise. For lunch or dinner, take a stroll through the neighborhood to discover the famed “Gourmet Ghetto” of 18th Street. Try the perfect croissants or the legendary bread pudding at Tartine Bakery (rated 28 by Zagat’s). Enjoy a casual breakfast or lunch at the Dolores Park Café or dine at the renowned Delfina Restaurant and it's charming pizzeria next door. Or walk another block to try some of the many hip and excellent restaurants along the Valencia Corridor. There are also coffee shops, book-shops, art galleries, bars and clubs of every variety. En route home, stop by for some of the city’s best ice cream at the Bi-Rite. You will never be bored or go hungry in this neighborhood!
Our neighborhood’s transit score of 99 means that within two or three blocks, you can take a street car, BART, Muni, bus or Zip Car to explore the city and visit other well-known destinations such as the Ferry Building, Union Square, ATT Park, the Alcatraz tour boats and Fishermen’s Wharf, or intersect with San Francisco’s historic cable car lines. If you are feeling especially active and adventuresome, rent a bike only a few blocks away at Mission Bike on Valencia Street.
Because we are so well located, we don't recommend bringing a car into the city if you can avoid it. Street parking is scarce and usually has a strictly enforced 2 hour parking limit between the hours of 8:00am-9:00pm. Garage parking is expensive, especially in congested areas. You are best off walking & taking advantage of our very good public transportation system to get around the city. Mission Manor does have space for one car in the on-premise garage, available 1st come/1st serve for $30/n extra. (Size restrictions apply).
We look forward to hosting you at Mission Manor!
Myself and 4 fellow peers from around the country stayed here on 3 separate occassions as we completed a year long training program in San Francisco. This flat is clean, in a great area with lots of restaurants, and near transportation. The closest BART station is a little iffy, but it's super convenient from the airport - just keep a good hold on your stuff. The owner makes every attempt to respond to needs and the initial breakfast goodies are super helpful. This is a great 4 bedroom flat. The living room sofa is not very comfortable, I would only suggest it for kids, or if like us, you have 5 people that would each like their own space and you are willing to charge the person who sleeps in the living room a bit less.
Ten of my family members descended on San Francisco for 5 days for my daughter's wedding. The Mission Manor was perfect for us! Neat, clean, very well maintained, well stocked with the essentials, plenty of space, close to the BART,.....I could go on and on. The management was very nice and easy to deal with. We would return! Thank you for helping to make our stay in San Fran a memorable one.
Our family Runners Club took this place over for the Nike Half Marathon. It is a very well appointed place, with a great location, with convenient access to downtown, and all the cool Mission restaurants, bars, etc. Very professional renting and hand-on/hand-off process, streamlined and unobtrusive. Great place, great location.
The Mission Manor was the perfect location for our girls' trip to San Francisco. There were five of us travelling so to each have our own room & bed was a treat. I slept on the memory foam topper on top of the couch in the living room and it was very comfortable. The rooms were very clean and the house has all the amenities you need including lots of towels, kitchen supplies, etc. The food left for us was amazing - it kept us fed for several days. The house is also conveniently located - it was easy for us to access transit to explore San Francisco.
The neighbourhood is also very interesting and wonderful to explore...be sure to walk down to Valencia St. and have a look around. We ate at Delfina's on 18th and Tacolicious on Valencia and I would recommend both places.
Would definitely highly recommend Mission Manor!
My friends and I rented this place and all 8 of us were very pleased and impressed. Such great attention to detail inside with maps, binders of local restaurants and all the tourist spots was very helpful. The whole place was beautifully furnished with clean and tasteful decor. It's so close to everything we walked to Folsom, the Mission and Castro. And a plethora of wonderful restaurants all within a mile distance. I will definitely be staying here repeatedly.
We rented this home for a bachelorette party of all women ages 29-39, 8 total women. The house was gorgeous and spacious, super clean, with fresh paint and plenty of room for all of us. We did have to bunk together 2 per bed, but beds were either king or queen, I'd not recommend the "extra" couch/futon....super uncomfy even to sit, on but they did have a mattress topper, we just didn't need it. The best part of this house for all these women were the three total bathroom room areas, so two showers could be going at the same time with no suffering of hot water. We kept the windows open the whole trip and the home was crisp and cool. The area is great, a 2.5 block walk from BART (we took airport to BART and walked with our suitcases) and what an eclectic but cute area. Susan met us downstairs and explained everything, Mission Manor even had a list of places/maps/ and tons of extra keys.
Some of my favorites about the place was the "breakfast" they left us. FEAST it should have been and we munched on it the entire time! Giant crossants and coffee, and bagels and cream, it was such a welcome touch! There is a safeway or a bi-rite in the area with amazing food and delicious wine, so we were set for our visit! Oh the other favorite is the house has all clean and fresh linens/sheets, but also little extras like shampoo/conditioner/lotion and great brands for when you inevitably forget something like this!
The Mission Manor area itself is fun and eclectic, we ate at Monk's Corner, and We Be Sushi (highly recommend and so cheap) got some pizza up the street one night, and went out to dive bars one night. Ok, real late at night I imagine it can get a little sketchy, but we always felt safe and LOVED the whole experience.
Susan and Karen communicated info throughout the entire process and refunded my security deposit back quickly after our visit. The entire Mission Manor experience ROCKED and I'd definitely recommend them! They have great info like how to get to and from the area on various modes of transportation, and what a great location. Thanks so much!

When you come home to Mission Manor, you'll find yourself at the epicenter of San Francisco's foodie paradise. Stroll over to Delfina’s or stop at their Pizzaria next door for some of the best food in San Francisco. Or pickup a crusty croissant or signature bread pudding at the famed Tartine’s Bakery down the street. Bi-Rite Grocery, on the same block, draws San Franciscans from all over town for their selection of highest quality, local organic fish, meat and produce, California wines and cheeses and one of the best deli-take out food sections in the City. En Bi-Rite Creamery, with freshly made ice cream daily anchors the other end of the block.
