I am a retired Scottish GP and my wife Morag, is a retired Primary Teacher and we have been married since 1971. We own the villa with another couple, Ken and Lorna Patrick. Ken is ex Astra Zeneca and is now a self employed business consultant. Lorna is a manager with the pharmaceutical company Bristol Myers Squib. We all love golf, good food and good wine as well as the sunshine. Morag and I have 3 grown up daughters. Since we retired we have spent most of our time holidaying and playing golf.
Ken and I came to Florida for several years with some friends on a boys golf outing. In 2003 we decided to buy a house which was completed in 2004. We chose the house on Cumbrian Lakes as it was in a superb location with loads of accommodation and handy for lots of great golf courses. It is also handy for all the parks and close to the 192 as well as many shops and restaurants. The location couldn't be better as it is quiet and peaceful despite being handy for all the above amenities.
The villa has the 'wow' factor. It is open and airy and has lots of accommodation. It is ideally situated looking south west over the lake so we get the sun all the year round. We get a lot of wild life on the lake. Apart from the birds we often have gators and turtles as well as a family of ducks that we have watched grow up from little balls of fluff. There is nothing better dining al fresco and watching the sun go down over the lake or sitting in the family room of an evening watching a DVD on the home cinema. We are close to WalMart and Edwin Watts so all our needs are catered for.
