My husband and I rented this house the week of Christmas. We're from St. Louis but live out of state. We wanted to rent a house so we could have additional family traveling home for Christmas to stay with us. We wanted to have a place where the whole family could gather together. When we met Bob the owner at the house, I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I walked through the front door! This house is absolutely gorgeous!! It's so cozy, charming and looks and feels like somewhere out of a Better Homes and Garden magazine. It's so big and roomy, and having 3 floors everyone has their space. This house is completely stocked with everything you could ever imagine.....from the kitchen to the bedrooms, to the bathrooms, you want for nothing! You literally just have to grocery shop for food. Parking is great with the private garage with garage door opener.....The backyard is awesome as well....I really can't say enough about the house except if you ever visit St. Louis and you're tired of the hotel scene, this is definitely the place to stay!!!
My wife and I stayed at this property at the end of May, so I apologize for being tardy with my review. We have been knocking off our baseball/stadium vacations bit by bit and this year traveled from KC to ST. Louis (generally following the SF Giants). This wonderful home is perfectly located for Busch Stadium as well as all activities in the city. Equipped with a GPS, we visited museums and parks around town and made our way to the waterfront for a short but fun ride on the Mississippi River. We walked to our games and explored the Soulard District with lots of fun restaurants, the Farmer’s Market and a local pub featuring Irish music. It was so wonderful to have a full kitchen where you could whip up a breakfast or occasional meal to take a break from constant heavy meals on the road. We took our toast and coffee right outside to the garden table in the mornings and parked there for a refreshing afternoon tea. A garage for the car, television and air-conditioning…all top notch. Bob, the owner was always available and helpful. Four stars from these happy travelers.
We loved the house and the neighborhood near downtown St. Louis. We were there for eleven nights and could not have felt more at home. We had two minor problems (coffee pot and internet), and Bob handled both quickly and with great good humor. Future visitors will have the advantage of a new coffee pot and new modem, so those problems won't likely arise again. The house has historic ambiance while offering all the modern conveniences. We would choose this house again for future visits to St. Louis and recommend it for anyone who wants the experience of living in the old city area. It was convenient to everything, especially the wonderful Soulard Market.
2 families have traveled to Saint Louis for 30 years to enjoy a Saint Louis Cardinals series; we have always stayed in a downtown hotel to be near the stadium and all the baseball action relating to games. We opted this year ( our 30th) to try a home for our week stay in the city to cheer on the Cardinals. We have changed our tradition! We will work our Cards game week around the availability of this property! The location is great for walking to the ballpark and for strolling through the Soulard neighborhood. The house is just as great as the photos; it is perfect for 2 couples - each can have their own floor bedroom. We could spread out and enjoy the roominess of a home. The grounds are beautiful; we enjoyed the outdoor space as much as the indoor. The property owner was friendly, personable, helpful, and accommodating. Our experience is A plus!
This house is like home away from home! Immaculate with a fabulous back yard and second floor balcony. Spent almost a week there with 2 yr old grandkids and their parents. The little boys traversed the stairs nicely. The neighborhood is quiet. Everything about this place is quality. Third story bedroom has an additional air conditioner, and even though weather was hot and humid, the AC worked perfectly on all floors. Two car garage. Close to so much. Sat on balcony late one evening with cocktail enjoying the thunder and lightening. We would definitely stay here again.
Nice touches - spices in cabinet, coffee filters and sweetener, plenty of paper towel, TP, and dish detergent. Great place to stay in St Louis.
One my favorite VRBOs I have ever stayed with. Our family (kids 5 and 10) came to St. Louis to attend the NCAA basketball tournament games in March. What a great decision to stay here instead of a hotel. This house is very close to everything downtown. It has a one car garage in the back so it was easy to zip in and out throughout the day. I would recommend having a car if you rent this house (St Louis has tons of parking downtown).
The house itself is updated with all of the modern amenities you would ever need. There is a bathroom on all three levels of the house. The bedrooms are huge and there is a flat screen TV on each floor. House is very reasonably priced for all that is included. You will not be disappointed with this house.
Wow what a great location! Walk to Busch Stadium and Historic Soulard Farmer's Market.
