Oak Lodge Family Vacation in August!

We opened the garage and there on the wall were 5 different John Deere riding toys for our grandchildren to use! They were in heaven and every morning that was the first thing they wanted to do...ride and ride on the huge, level concrete circular drive way!
We opened the door to the house and were literally astonished at the spaciousness of each and every room, beautifully detailed.
We opened the door to the wrap around porch, deck and new fire pit and knew that each day and night we would put all this to great use. The view of the hills and lush green carpet of trees surrounding the house provided a feeling of seclusion and peace.
We opened the doors to the pool house and realized that we had really come to right place. Every afternoon we spent here with our 7 grandchildren. It was perfect. Everything we needed was provided, even pool toys, beach towels and robes! (Oh, the hot tub in the house was fabulous, too)
Every kitchen appliance imaginable was ready for our use plus 2 extra fridges! The absolute only thing we couldn't find was a garlic press. Ha! It was probably there, we just couldn't find it. WiFi , TV's and DVD's were also in abundance!
The trails, the fishing, the lake, and the beautifully designed village right on the acreage, we loved. We ate all of our meals except one right "at home" in the lodge but we did visit Fort Ligonier and the local petting zoo, Living Treasures, which delighted the kids!
Our experience at Oak Lodge opened the door for us to return & if you are wondering if the price is worth it... don't think twice. It is!
There were 15 of us all together and we could all be together, but if one wanted to go off and be totally alone there were plenty of spots to do that, too.
We had a wonderful, relaxing week and even had the joy of meeting the owner of Oak Lodge and telling him in person what a fantastic place he had designed for so many to enjoy. He could keep this beautiful place to himself, but he has chosen to share it with others.
Thank you so much for providing a tremendous haven that we thoroughly enjoyed-- just 45 minutes from our own home. Who knew?
Don't miss this gem----setting so close to Pittsburgh! We will definitely be back!
P.S. Thank you, Matt and your lovely wife, for taking such good care of us while we were with you! Having all the firewood was fantastic! Your care for your guests and Oak Lodge is obviously something you love to do! Keep up the great work!
