We stayed at this lovely apartment during a family trip to Paris. We found the apartment to be spacious, airy and bright. It was great having two bathrooms available as well as the kitchen. As we were traveling with children, we usually ate dinner in the apartment and made picnic lunches. The nearby Monoprix was great for stocking up on groceries. The charcuterie there even had escargots, as the kids wanted to try them. We found the location to be ideal. It’s easy walking distance to shopping and cafes on Bd St Germain des Pres. At first, we thought the stairs and no elevator would be daunting, but in fact it wasn’t a problem at all. With all our walking in Paris, we were happy to come home a few pounds lighter despite all of the delicious food and wine!
Having undertaken a comprehensive search of a lot of websites for the perfect apartment to rent for a family of 4, we found this apartment and were delighted with the location, lay out, flexible accommodation and local amenities. It was as described in the listing. Brigitte, the contact in Paris was friendly and helpful. Contacting the owner proved problematic at times. Overall the property was well maintained, aside from needing to put a few things in the dishwasher on arrival, but this was not a problem. We liked that the kitchen was well equipped and meant we could eat 'at home' on a couple of evenings. Having a dining area also made this comfortable and easy. We walked to many places including Musee D'Orsay and the Louvre very easily. There are two metro stations within easy reach which made trips further afield simple to achieve. Lots of restaurants are within a 10 minute walk in all directions and there is a good supermarket about 10 minutes walk away. For a short trip to Paris this ticks the boxes.
We spent Christmas Week in Paris in this comfortable, well located apartment. We could walk to Le Louvres, the Musee d'Orsay and to the movie theater.
We enjoyed the fact that the apartment was very spacious for our family of 5.
The lay-out on the lower level was perfect for our 2 teenage sons. We stayed in the master bedroom upstairs with our younger daughter occupying the single room on the same level as us.
We shopped for Gourmet Food at the Grande Epicerie du Bon Marche and dined in most nights in lovely french porcelain crockery.
Our family of 4 stayed in this apartment in May, 2014. Pros: Good location (2-3 blocks from Sevres Babylone metro), apartment was well equipped (free wifi and calls to U.S.), we also found the washer/dryer to be very useful. Cons: Construction across the street meant it was loud in the morning so difficult to get over our jet lag, very steep steps as this apt is on the top floor so not recommended if you have young kids/toddlers, heater was not turned on and hot water did not work in lower bath but owner was quick to respond.
Our family of 6 (3 teenagers, one child) stayed at this apartment for 11 nights in December. We were met at the door and shown through the apartment to ensure we knew how everything worked. It was very clean and exactly as described/photographed. We found the bedding arrangements to be perfect for us, the four kids being very happy not to have to share a bed! It was very spacious and has every convenience needed. The area is well located, with restaurants, upmarket shops and supermarket within easy walking distance. The closest metro is less than a 5 minute walk, but we also enjoyed walking to nearby attractions such as the Luxembourg gardens and Musee de Orsay. The apartment manager was very helpful and easy to contact by phone/text. We would definately recommend this apartment to anyone who can manage stairs - we found them neither too difficult or tiring.
This Rue des Saints-Peres apartment is in a wonderful location. You can walk from there to almost any where in the Quartier Latin. If you enjoy the buzz of dozens of bars, great restaurants, boulangeries, and designer boutiques right next door to you this is the place for you. If you need to go farther a field there are 2 convenient metro stations less than 5 minutes walk away. There is plenty of space for 2 couples and 3 or 4 children. Only one bedroom has complete privacy but there are 2 full bathrooms, lots of space and light (lots of windows). It is very well equipped; excellent kitchen, large dining table, big separate living area and all modern amenities. The only negative is a very steep narrow staircase up 5 floors (no elevator); but it sure keeps you in shape and is good for you after all those gastronomic meals! However, if you're older and not so energetic you'll need a good strong man in your group to carry your bags up the stairs. There are so many close by restaurants - particularly if you cross over Blvd St. Germain and walk towards the river - we don't need to recommend any one in particular. Just Google Latin Quarter restaurants and check out Tripadvisor with a map in hand - you can't go wrong. The owner's agent met us at the apartment when we arrived and was very helpful. We had a great stay and would highly recommend this apartment.
Brigitte was terrific. She was waiting outside for us and she took the time to explain everything about your apartment. We found her to be very professional and friendly!!
We loved your apartment and the location was perfect! We walked so much, only taking a taxi on our last day (to the airport). We hope and trust Brigitte will have found your apartment in order. Thank you again for the excellent accommodation!
Also, thank you for allowing us to re-book from May 2012 to September 2013 when we had a family crisis! That was very kind of you...
