House, 3 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 3 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

Remodeled in 2010, this mountain home has all the right amenities. 3 bedrooms (queen beds). Open sleeping area (4 twins, plus fold out full bed). 3 full baths with beautiful natural stone- 2 have double showers and the master bath has a large soaking tub. The family room is very spacious for multiple families with a pellet stove for efficient heating, large 60” flat screen TV with Dish Tv, XM/Sirius Radio, and iPod docking for built-in home surround sound.

The entertaining kitchen has loads of granite counter space, stainless Bosch appliances, all cooking utensils and dishes are included. The dining table can expand for up to 12 guests. The house is tastefully decorated with local art and reclaimed wood floors are through out the house adding a rustic mountain touch. Most of the furniture is new and in excellent condition creating a designer feel through out the house. The decor is tastefully done with a Pottery Barn feel throughout. There are board games, DVD’s, Satelite Direct HD TV, books, kid toys, train table, Pack and Play crib and a portable highchair.

Outside features include a granite landscaped backyard/patio, with wood burning stove, Gas BBQ and patio seating for 8. Relax your tired body after a day of skiing or hiking in the 6 person log sauna house. Large wrap-around driveway can easily accommodate 4 cars.

This house is conveniently located under 10 minutes to Sierra at Tahoe Ski Resort. There are loads of activities under 20 min from the cabin such as, walking the Pony Express Trail, Desolation wilderness, climbing at Lover’s Leap, fishing in the south fork of the American river, water activities at Echo,Wrights and Tahoe lake endless hiking. Walk to the Strawberry lodge for ice cream or the market for basic food needs. Another winter perk: If 50 is closed, you can still get in to this house- It is ½ mi. below the summit closure location at Twin Bridges, so you will never have interrupted travels. South Lake Tahoe is 25 min over the summit.

Strawberry/Twin Bridges is a very special place to us. We have climbed here for over 15 years. The beauty of the American River Canyon is stunning and offers something for everyone.

Great house to enjoy the snow at Sierra at Tahoe: spacious, new, tastefully decorated, conveniently located, warm feeling, has everything in it to really appreciate your stay with kids or without.
Owners must be very special persons, they remodeled and decorated as for themselves, don't know how they have the heart to rent it... We rented many places at Tahoe over the years, this one distinguished for its offering of a very pleasant, memorable stay.

Labour Day weekend at the Twin Bridges cabin

We stayed at the property over the Labour Day weekend. We had a wonderfull experience all around. The area is beautiful and has a lot to offer for people who enjoy outdoor activities. There is a picture perfect mountain river within a walking distance from the cabin which is a perfect place to have a picnic or just relax and enjoy nature. Eco lake is only a few minutes drive from the cabin. Miles of hiking trails around the area. After long days of exploring the area, it was nice to return to the cabin and enjoy the modern amenities, high end appliances and beautifully decorated rooms. The back yard is perfict for entertaining with a new gas BBQ, a fire pit and a sauna. We would deffinitelly come back.

I came here over the summer with my friends and we were all amazed of how spacious and beautiful the home was. We loved that they had a huge dining table and a lot of sitting space in the living room. And the main living area had a great state of the art sound system that had built in speakers to the ceiling. I also really appreciate how the owner always respond to any of our questions or concers in a timely manner. We had some problem during our stay and when I called the owner she would always be available or call me back within an hour or so.
Recommended for:  Girls Getaway
Owner's Response: Yes, we were happy that the home worked well for the guests. The problems was a simple breaker issue and was resolved easily and replaced after their departure. Would love to have them back again! J-

Thank you for opening your lovely home to us! It was as beautiful as it was functional! Very well thought out and the before and after pictures were great! A series of large storms brought TONS of snow BEAUTIFUL!!! When the power went out, the generator worked perfectly. And, all the electric appliances (griddle, coffee maker, etc) even worked during the power outage ... as did the water heater! We soaked in the large tub ... what a blissful week-end. The large screen TV was a big hit - the home was warmed so nicely with the pellet stove (also easy to opperate!). The very well stocked kitchen, fun toys ... really too much to list. Oh, loved the growth chart too - hope to come back next year and see how much our kids grew! Thanks again!!!

My family and I stayed at Jen and Greg's Tahoe home and it was fantactic, almost too new for a rental.
We wanted a winter holiday after the New Years croud and even though we had sierra summer weather instead of snow fun the family had a great time just relaxing at the house, short walks around the quiet neighborhood and exporing the area.
