Our beautiful 6-bedroom, 6-bathroom home; 'Lazy Loggerhead' is located on the golf course of the Bald Head Island Club. From the spiral staircase in the entranceway to the top of the line gourmet kitchen, flat screen TV's and double-sided fireplace and wet bar in the master bedroom, this house is special. The living room, dining room, and kitchen are all open to each other with high ceilings and hardwood floors providing large open spaces to gather the family for meals or to just play a game. The commercial grade, stainless steel appliances, double ovens and granite countertops make this house ideal for everything from family meals to elegant catered affairs. There are 3 bedrooms on the first floor and another 3 bedrooms on the second floor making this beautifully decorated home perfect for large family gatherings, two smaller families sharing a house, weddings or corporate retreats. A second living room on the second floor with a flat screen tv and entertainment center is also great for kids to hang out in while the adults escape downstairs. The large wrap around porch allows for beautiful views of the lagoon, quiet time in a rocking chair or a relaxing outdoor dining experience.
The beautiful cedar shake adorning the outside of the house along with the wrap around porch provides an upscale yet warm atmosphere. In the garage you will find two Golf Carts (one 4 seater and one 6 seater) for adult use. Your vacation home is centrally located on the island -- only minutes to the beach, Market with Ice Cream Shoppe, Marina, Chapel, Old Baldy Lighthouse and Bald Head Island Club.
The bedrooms are spacious, beautifully decorated, and have very comfortable bedding. Lots of windows to leave open and listen to the wonderful island sounds as you drift off at night. If we could live here all year round, we would!
We love our home and have stocked it to make our vacations relaxing and fun. The house is equipped with everything you will need for your vacation. At your disposal are a fully-equipped kitchen, beach towels, beach chairs, boogie boards, DVD player, infant pack n play, high chair, all linens and towels, games, etc. . A cleaning fee of $250 is also included in your rental rate.
Bald Head Island's 14 miles of beautiful, uncrowded beaches can be accessed at any of the 42 public beach entrances. You can also rent kayaks to explore the Island's creeks, bicycle to the Harbor for an outdoor lunch at Eb and Flo's, take a hike along one of the Island's nature trails, or enjoy a relaxing day at the newly-opened Spa next to the Maritime Market. The Bald Head Island Conservancy offers children's nature camps, Loggerhead Turtle walks where you can actually watch their nests erupt with tiny baby Loggerheads and much, much more! You'll be just minutes away from all of the amenities by golf cart. So come discover this very special place, hidden among the ancient live oaks, salt marsh and ocean environments. We know you will love it as much as we do!

Temporary privileges at the Shoals Club are included in your rental rate and a temporary social membership to the Bald Head Island Club can be added for an additional charge of $165 per week. However, golf is not included.
The Shoals Club is located at the historic eastern point of the island where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Cape Fear River. Enjoy gourmet indoor dining or grab lunch at the poolside Tiki bar. The Shoals Club has a full size pool, a large, separate children's pool, bocce ball court and a fitness center. Complementary towel service as well as beach-front chairs and umbrellas are included.
The Bald Head Island Club offers an 18 hole CHAMPIONSHIP George Cobb designed golf course, four tennis courts, three croquet courts, and an Olympic size swimming pool as well as upscale and casual dining. Visitors love the ocean views from the Peli Perch where they can watch the dolphins while sipping a beverage or enjoying a sandwich or a pizza.
