Records show the BOGGIOLI farmhouse has been continually lived in by farming families for the past 800 years. Today we have a thousand olive trees and produce award-winning organic extra virgin olive oil.
(See SLOWFOOD Guide to Olive Oil and Marco Oreggia's prestigious Guide to the World's Best Extra Virgin Olive Oils.)
We are always happy to offer a Tasting to our guests.
The farmhouse and barn are in a panoramic position, surrounded by olive trees, chestnut, oak and accacia woods, which you drive through on our well-maintained mile-long access road. This could at first appear challenging to some.
The Barn has a private outdoor terrace, under a pergola, a well-equipped kitchen and a living/dining room, all on the ground floor.
Half way up the stairs to the bedroom is the bathroom, which has a WC, bidet, basin, spacious shower stall and a window with view over the gardens.
The bedroom, on the top floor, has the best views, from 3 windows. It has an armchair, desk, ample cupboard space, good reading lights and a solid Queen sized bed with a firm mattress.
From our pool, 15.5 x 5 metres, away from the house and in a secluded position, there are rural views over the Chianti hills, and of course comfortable reclining chairs.
The Barn has many books, on cooking, Tuscany, Italian History, Italian Art, Fauna and Flora plus Guidebooks and maps.

Since I retired from a U.N. organization in Rome, I have become a full time olive farmer and my wife and I have concentrated on producing high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
We chose to live in this beautiful part of Tuscany, permanently, after retiring from our jobs in Rome.
As a Stanford student studying in Florence, years ago, I got to know this area well and after graduation decided to make Italy my home.
We enjoy the local festas, the Chianti Classico wine festas and the many concerts of classical music which take place throughout Tuscany in the summer months.
Each village in Tuscany seems to have something of amazing historical or artistic interest , one is always rewarded for the search.
