About The Owner

After being in the business world for over 40 years, we decided it was time 'to do something different.' So...we sold our businesses, built a log home, packed our bags & moved from north MS to Hendersonville. Sometimes while sitting on the deck enjoying the mountain views, we feel as if we need to pinch ourselves to make sure we're not dreaming.

We enjoy riding our Harley through the mountains on a sunny day, visiting with our new friends, exploring the area for new adventures and just sitting on the front porch watching the hummingbirds and various other birds - blue birds, especially. Call it retirement or unemployment...we'll never be bored here!

We vacationed in this area for years. While building our own log cabin, we stayed in Dogwood several times and found it to be most comfortable. When the owners moved out of town, we volunteered to help them with cleaning and maintenance of Dogwood. The fit was perfect! When the opportunity presented itself for us to purchase Dogwood, we knew we wanted to make it our own. Now we care for it as our own home, so that our guests can have a comfortable, fabulous home away from home.

It was such a warm, inviting and relaxing experience, almost like being home, minus the

Comfortable, Well-appointed Cabin

We're retired Navy, have lived all over the map and never found a more satisfactory vacation cabin. Clean, quiet, well decorated, with lots of light and air and fully functioning facilities (all of them). Comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. Great secure dog yard (and large), convenient parking for pack/unpack... quickly accessible to downtown, sights, stores (including a brand new supersuper market 10 minutes distant with a wide array of wholesome and unwholesome foods and beverages.)
Spend a few days here and you will relax...

The VERY BEST!!!!

There's really not much more that I can saw about "Dogwood", that others have not already said.

This is our second stay of a week here within 6 months. It truly is the best for folks with or without pets!
Great accomodations, excellent stocked kitchen, and the yard....well...simply grrrrrrreat! Convenient to everything.

Our only "reservation" is the same we had following our first stay....just hoping that the next time we want to make a reservation, that the time slot is available...LOL!

Happy Pet owner and Pets!

My husband and I just spent a long weekend at this cabin with our two dogs. The dogs enjoyed running in the large yard. Everything was clean and well kept. The hot tub was well maintained and even has an awning over it so you could enjoy it even if it was raining. The bed was very comfortable. The area the cabin was in was very peaceful and quiet. Lots of beautiful apple orchards in the area as you drive around. We highly recommend Fatz Cafe for dinner. The staff was VERY friendly and the food was delicious. Make sure you let them know if it is your first time visiting one of their restaurants!

Great place to stay with (or without) your dog!!

This cabin was perfect for our our month long stay in Hendersonville. The cabin was clean and very comfortable!! The kitchen was well stocked with all the necessary equipment one would need to cook basic meals, plus the gas grill on the deck was nice to have. They even supplied the basics (salt/pepper, foil and other paper products, coffee filters, basic toiletries, etc) to get your vacation off to a good start.

The gas fireplace was especially nice to take the chill off after a hike in the cooler weather.

Our dog loved being able to run free in the fenced back yard! She also loved laying on the provided dog bed in front of the fireplace...her favorite spot when it was on. They actually supplied 3 different size dog beds as well as stainless steel food and water dishes. Definitely pet friendly!!

Overall an excellent stay for us and we do hope to return next year!
