FRENCH PLACE CONTEMPORARY STUDIO, LOFTED CEILING & LARGE WINDOWS

I rented this place for my brother and sister-in-law when they came to town in July. I wish they could stay with me but my pets make that difficult for my sister-in-law. I had heard of this place from a friend of mine who LOVED it for her parents when they came for a visit. I live in the neighborhood and really enjoy sharing the area with friends and family that visit. Being that I live near here, I can say that this neighborhood is PERFECT for a real taste of Austin. Coffee shops in close walking distance and super easy bus routes to everything else in town!! You're not far from a lovely walking/running trail in Mueller either. LOCATION HERE IS AMAZING!!!

The actual place is just lovely. Roomy enough with all that you could possibly need. Its decorated simply but with a lot of thought. I was a little sad to have rented for someone else to stay in. My brother and sister-in-law were so happy and can't wait to come back.

The ONLY thing I would make sure to let people know about - THIS IS IN NO WAY to deter anyone - this place is the back cottage to a house. I actually liked that about it. Seemed more homey, a bit safer, and like you are really IN Austin not just staying in some dumb cheap hotel. If I was renting this for the first time and just driving up I may have felt a little awkward with it being in the back and down the driveway but this is truly an absolute gem of a find!!

I stayed here for 6 weeks for a summer law clerkship at the Capitol. This was an excellent apartment. 10 minute drive to and from the Capitol with very little congestion.

The apartment is very well furnished: A/C, fridge, microwave, washer, dryer, small stone oven, cable internet/TV. At first I was skeptical if a single wall unit A/C could handle Austin's summer heat/humidity but I was very comfortable my entire time there.

The apartment was very clean and well maintained.

The neighborhood was nice and quiet.

The landlord is very kind and helpful.

I've stayed at many apartments and dorms over the past 8 years of school and this apartment was, if not the best then a close runner up to, the best places I've stayed. I would definitely stay here again and I would definitely recommend it to my friends or family.

We had a great time in Austin, and the studio was ideal for our needs. Lots of nice wee touches like there being a shopper and umbrella in the studio (not that we needed the umbrella in hot and sunny Austin). The studio is located in a leafy neighbourhood with a supermarket and cafe nearby, and delicious tacos and frozen margwithin walking distance. We rented bikes from him which was very efficient for getting around, especially using the excellent cycle lanes in Downtown. There weren't many options for public transport so a bike or a car is definitely advantageous.

Jim went out of his way to make sure our stay went well. We arrived a day late after missing our connecting flight and Jim kindly offered us an additional night free of charge to make up for this. After having problems getting a taxi in Downtown, we were concerned that the taxi we had booked to take us to the airport at 4.30am wouldn't turn up. Jim very kindly offered to drive us if it didn't show, but fortunately it did.
