If you're up for some dancing plan to visit the Chico Saloon for live music on the weekends.
Winter at Yellowstone Lookout Riverside Home: The only car-accessible Yellowstone Park entrance that remains open year-round is located at Mammoth (the North Entrance). That plowed road makes for a fun drive in the winter—you can explore the Tower Falls area, the Lamar Valley and Cooke City. You may even want to stop and ski on some of the many groomed cross-country ski trails which are located along this road. If you want to view wolves, check out the Lamar Valley in the winter. It is fairly common to view wolf packs from road turnouts using scopes or binoculars. In Mammoth you can rent snowmobiles, cross-country skis and snowshoes and take snow coaches that transport you to Old Faithful or take you on tours to other destinations.
In addition to soaking in the hot pools at Chico Hot Springs, another favorite winter activity is to experience the outdoor natural hot spring pools at Boiling River located just inside the North entrance to Yellowstone. You'll also find a public skating rink near the North entrance at Mammoth.

We have lived in Bozeman, Montana (about 1 hour from the home) for over 25 years. We think you'll like the Paradise Valley and location right on the River. We sure do!
Ronda purchased this house in 2010
Why Ronda chose Paradise Valley
We bought this property in February 2010. The home is situated right on the banks of the Yellowstone River. In fact, many people say it feels like the river runs right through the living room. The river and mountain views are fabulous and you might even enjoy the great fishing right from the property.
What makes this house unique
The home is loaded with all the comforts of home and the views from the riverside hot tub are amazing! The location offers a great sense of privacy while being situated in a small neighborhood of homes in the Paradise Valley. You'll find easy access to Yellowstone Park and the fun towns of Livingston and Bozeman, Montana.
Guestbook comments from the owner
The information and directions provided were excellent. What a lovely log cabin--one of the very best we have stayed at, especially the hot tub!! The views and proximity to the Yellowstone River were both exciting and relaxing--sipping a beverage from the rocking chair on the veranda or from the hot tub. Eagles, geese, cedar waxwings, mourning doves were everywhere.
Everything was spotless and well maintained. The beds were comfortable and lots of room for our family to be either all together--or space to hang out.
The trip to Boiling River in Yellowstone was so great--what an experience. Thanks for the info--just don't forget to bring water shoes (and your camera). Lots of buffalo for entertainment as well.
Thank you for such a wonderful holiday for our family.
