This is not your typical rental house. This three-bedroom, two-bath, 3,200 square foot home is on the water and has a one-car garage. It is the personal second home of Douglas & Sherri Brown, executives in the publishing industry. When the home is not rented, it is used by the owners and their two golden retrievers.
Inside the house has top-notch furniture, artwork, appliances, bedding, towels, dishes, and accessories. The kitchen is stocked with all the amenities needed to enjoy a relaxing waterfront meal. The master bedroom has a king bed and its own bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen bed and in the third bedroom there is a day bed. There is also another full bathroom located in the hallway. The entire floor is tiled in hand-selected Mexican tile. Imported sinks in the bathrooms and specialty hardware from Mexico adorn the rooms, resulting in an exotic, Spanish-style feel.
There are two new flat-screen TVs with DVD players. The living room TV has surround sound and is hooked up to outside speakers for music channels to play outside.
For your convenience, we also provide free cable with music, wireless Internet, and long distance calling. We have also installed a reverse osmosis water purification system and there is a high-efficiency washer and dryer available for you to use. Linens, towels and paper products are provided for your use.
This stunning, pet-friendly waterfront home is located on a deep canal with direct Gulf access. There is a 28-foot floating dock with dock whips, electrical outlets and fresh water. The back yard features extensive decks with seating to enjoy the beauty of the river and wildlife. The screened in private patio has a propane BBQ grill, heated swim spa and lap pool, outside shower, and ample seating. We have two kayaks and a gas-fired cooker for frying fish or doing a Low Country boil.
The patio is screened with a special fine mesh to help keep even the smallest bug out. The home is approximately 20 minutes from King’s Bay and 30 minutes from the Gulf of Mexico by boat.
Crystal River has activities for the whole family, including world-class flats fishing for red fish, trout, Spanish mackerel, cobia, and tarpon. Crystal River offers one of the few remaining areas to scallop in Florida during the summer. You can catch freshwater bass and trap blue crabs off the dock, or look for manatees and dolphins. Offshore, there is terrific shallow and deepwater grouper fishing.
Within a short drive, there is a mall with a multiplex movie theater, restaurants and shopping in historic downtown Crystal River, kayaking, Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, walking and bike trails, scuba diving, and swimming with the manatees. The house is only a short walk from the Crystal River Archeological Museum and surrounded by the Crystal River State Park Buffer Reserve.
Plan a day trip to any of the nine state parks within 50 miles or work on your back swing at one of the 12 nearby golf courses. You will make memories to last a lifetime here!
